Try using the blue bondo or grey to try keeping the color in the same family

Getting started with a channel is kind of demanding, but once you get some kind of rhythm, it should be good. I like watching you work. You have good things to show us subscribers and interesting ideas on how to rescue items like this table from the trash. I love the way it turned out.

As long as it looks like glass, you did a good job 👏 if it looks like an orange peel, then you need more practice. it looks great to me. Keep doing what works for you 👍🏼

How do you mix the color, do you put mineral spirits or different things. What were the measures Thank you Beautiful job

I just thinned it by eye. 10-20 with fine paints of Europe mineral spirits.

Great job! I’ve been getting tired of the red bondo glazing putty lately. It shrinks too much. Two part bondo is better. This guy who runs a collision repair center told me to try UPOL Dolphin Glazing Putty instead. Dries super fast and hard and it will not shrink and sands to a powder. Honestly I’ve given up on scuffing with 220grit it takes too long and I don’t think it gives the surface enough bite for the paint to adhere to. I’ve been using 120, 150 and 180 grit. Even after the first coat of primer I’m still using 180 grit for my topcoats. If you’re concerned about the lacquer drying too fast just add more lacquer thinner! Or better yet some acetone and MEK. 90% MEK and 10% acetone for the thinner mix. It helps put on a heavier coat of lacquer without getting runs. I can’t stand the dry time for oil based products. Dust is a massive problem and I need speed cause time is money!

Agreed! It was more of a just for fun and KZbin thing. I tried a two part glazing but it was too hard to sand, maybe I’ll give the UPOL a shot

As always, a beautiful project. Are you going to participate in any of the KZbin furniture flipping challenges?

Thank you! Probably so. Once I am more caught up at my day job I hope to!

Super hard paint to spray but outcomes are amazing. How much did you thin it down?
@milosrestoration13376 ай бұрын
30-40%

I like the color, too. But I think a color like this needs to be ultra glossy. Nice!

It does! It’s more of an accent color.

the end results look good. I do cabinets and painting for a living. We prefer BIN Shellac as a primer on woods to block tannins over cover stain. I would suggest in the future trying a smaller needle on the primer and paint, lowering the pressure a bit and narrowing the width down a lot. looks like youre spraying way too wide and heavy with that paint, on camera it looks like 8-10 inches wide on a 2 inch wide pieces of wood. A lot of splatter as well which may be due to too high of a pressure, or too much thinning. FPoE doesn't need thinning. Not much you could have done with the dust as you addressed in the video unless you get a dust extractor. With high gloss everything shows, it's hard work. Perhaps wood filling the mitered corners to remove seeing that in the future. Otherwise great results for someone trying that out for the first time.

I like the color but it’s to glossy for my liking

Thank you! Im kind of trying to do some instructional videos, and a fine paints of Europe video seemed like a popular product.
