Two beautiful sisters living and studying in the Diaspora decided to tell their parents thank you by building them their desired home. As I write this, I am more than inspired that my three siblings and I can also make our parents dreams come true. Cynthia those wooden couches is exactly what we used to have, until recently one of my siblings got our parents beautiful seats after getting his first salary. We have had a fair share of tough life, but our parents never gave up on us, seeing our parents sacrifice everything they had including them not having their desired home just to make sure we all finished University is something I admire to the core. We now have good jobs after finishing campus and two of us are looking forward to perusing masters as we plan to rebuild for our parents. The inspiration behind us building for our parents is 1. Giving them a new chapter, after working so hard to make sure we all went to University, time has caught up with them. Beyond just a house, my siblings and I envision a home where every corner resonates with love, respect, and practicality, a sanctuary that celebrates their legacy and our heritage where they can relax, host family gatherings, and create cherished memories.

Seeing this just makes me shed tears, Last year i took a leap of faith to build my parents a house. My dad was a police man and my mum was a house wife and we used to live in rental houses, a single room divided with curtains and each morning my brother and i would remove the mattress from the floor and put in the corner of the house. And i would go to school work hard and always reminded my mama that was gonna change their life completely. Last year i took a loan , together with my savings and bought materials , paid fundis and i started to build what we call our dream home. I am not there yet bt weuh it's been a rollercoaster. The part remaining is roofing and i am still saving for that . I know am gonna make them happy soon❤

For their bedroom, I want something special-a large, comfortable space with big windows, a seating area where they can relax privately, and plenty of built-in storage to keep everything neat. I’d also want them to have a garden to grow their own vegetables and fruit trees for fruits and shade , that evening nap under a tree is usually refreshing. A small chicken coop outside so they could have fresh eggs to either sell or eat. I would also love the place to have underground water tanks for efficient water storage, and even a small fountain feature for beauty at the front. I would love the place to have enough space for our extended family to visit and spend time together. A fire pit outside where we can all sit and share stories under the stars.

We al have big dreams especially dreams to build a dream home for my parents, for me i grew up in a humble home. Our house was a mud house bt it was very homely. Every Christmas we would mix mud with cowdung and decorate the house. That is where i grew up and everyday, every morning i would wake up and work hard hoping that one day i will build my parents their dream home and remove them from that mud house. I started by buying bricks and iron sheets and my next project is to buy cement. One step at a time as rome wasn't built in one day.Thank you fine urban

The kitchen would be open-plan, fitted with sleek cabinetry, modern appliances, and an island for casual dining.
