At the start, long boards are cut into short boards. Why is that necessary?

It’s grading some pieces are of better grade and the other. The final laminated board will hv selected different grade. AA BB CC

Myo Thu Ya Aung All finger joint stick are uniform colour segregated. Then uniform colour stick are laminated into wider board. Called finger joint laminated board.
