I love all the songs that you pick for your channel. March types are my favorite and the fast ones show how GREAT players play. Thank you so much.

Amazing!! I haven't picked up a euphonium or a tuba in years. This make me want to go back to playing! Edit... How is there 3 dislikes for this??? Those people are crazy!

This is what happens when you joke with your friend Drew about that last spiritual piece not giving your fingers much to do. 😂🤣👍👍

Haha! Al has been on my case to record this for MONTHS. I was the one dragging feet. I think I managed okay though...for a lowly flugel player.

@@TheMusicofDrewFennell GOOD NEWS!! I finally remembered to subscribe to your channel so now I can nag you about that Mangione cover DIRECTLY, instead of vicariously through Al's channel. ... Doesn't that just sound WONDERFUL???🤩🤩😁😁 (I think you did great, btw...For a Treble clef reader. 👍👍)
@TheMusicofDrewFennell3 жыл бұрын
@@andyking894, treble clef>bass clef. (Just sayin’.) As to Chuck Mangione, I’m not against it...but because of copyright, it’s far better to spend our efforts on music in the public domain. (If I had my druthers, I’d be arranging John Williams’ music all day every day!)

I just found your channel! You are going to be a great inspiration for my grandson who is just beginning to play baritone. He is renting now a Yamaha YEP210, he's in 7th grade. Would this be a good instrument to purchase? You are wonderful by the way! SUBSCRIBED!
@Matonizz3 жыл бұрын
Hi friend, thanks for kind words! In regards to horn, I would absolutely not recommend YEP201. That horn is a 3 valve not compensating euphonium that sits at a very similar price range that will get your grandson a 4 valve (additional valve allows for additional octave an a half in lower register) silver plated (better finish that gold lacquer) compensating (extended tubing that allows for better intonation in bottom register) euphonium. In fact the instrument that I used in this video is almost identically priced and you can get it it with discount from dfmusicinc.com with discount code "Matonizz". Check the link in the description box below or search for JP274 on my channel to find my review on it. The best semi professional horn within that price range. Hope this helps. Best, M

I'm assuming that was double tongued? It was so clean that it sounded like single tongue, but that wouldn't be possible at that tempo, right?
@Matonizz3 жыл бұрын
All double tongued for sure. Wish I could single tongue that fast :D
@TheMusicofDrewFennell3 жыл бұрын
I was double-secret-tonguing. Learned it from a shaman in Tibet.

Great playing. It's a Touch slow in my very humble opinion. Get a hold of the British tuba quartet version from the 90s if you want some inspiration! :)

Fast fingers, but it repeats that’s why it may seem difficult as on page.
