Excellent work on an older built kit Trevor! She looks a lot better now with all the upgraded details. I like that molded glowing plastic that Monogram made then. That blue definitely has a nice hue to it!

Oh and I highly recommend if you have an Ollie's in your town to check out the muscle car books they have for $3.99 that retailed for $40 when sold new. They're great for seeing all the fine details in model cars you build

That’s a great tip for finding good resources! - Too bad there is no Ollie's in Alberta, Canada.

I made a builders mistake and started building fifteen model kits at once and I put a lot of time in each kit I build at least fifty plus hours in each car. My eyes see the fine details

That's a lot of cars! I'm sure your builds will turn out great.

I literally just finished that kit. Being a 1:1 A-12 owner, I tried to make an accurate version of a 440 six pack version. A few things to note. This kit does not contain the proper "H" wheels (black steelies) that came on all A-12 cars. I had to purchase aftermarket wheels from one source and redline tires from another. Another couple of things to take into consider : No head restraints are included with the kit and the interior tub in my kit was from a Plymouth as evidenced by the emblem on the rear seat. An easy fix that you should consider is to remove the "spine" that runs down the center of the scoop. A-12 cars did not have this raised ridge. The floor pan should be grey prime with. hint of overspray along the edges.

Gotta question for you, On the AMT 40 Ford Coupe the Second engine option w/3 carbs and Not Blower Engine option, Think it's a Buick engine, Do you know by any chance where Distributor goes? Nothing in directions and not familiar with that engine. Thanks and Hope you don't mind being my Goto guy on kit questions.

I have a video on this channel where I build that engine with all the different options. The video is called Model Car Garage Tips and Tech - How To Build the Buick Nailhead Optional Engine - AMT 1940 Ford Kit Just copy and paste that into youtube and it should take you there.
