They said it couldn't be done, but here we are. A homestuck comic has made me cry over cronus ampora

cronus ampora is fucking awesome and i'll fight anyone who says otherwise. though this is basically the exact version of him that I write stories about.

Every so often, after a hundred unfunny jokes and useless hot air A bard understands their aspect better than anyone else in the room. And it all clicks.

I remember reading this comic a few months back, absolutely flabbergasted that a handful of pages made me care more about an Ampora than I ever had in the comic proper- and this adaptation has me feeling SOME kind of way- heartstrings tugged on and all that. Excellent work!

Really wish we got more official content with the dancestors and explored their session. I thought the dancestors were interesting and wanted to see them more fleshed out as characters instead of simply them being a parody of the alternia trolls and Hussie’s fuck you to the fandom for misinterpreting the alternian trolls characters, as well as Hussies personal social commentary of online fandoms and issues. I love to see fanworks such as this because they really give you a new perspective and make you think about certain characters. Great voice acting! Absolutely loved it! 🥰

Love Porrim's voice. Didn't expect it but it's pleasant and soothing...

Awww, thank you! It was born out of "I need to make Kanaya and Porrim sound really different" when I was voicing both of them during a live stream

I don't remember when I first read your comic, but it was one of the things that made me think about how much the HS fandom can do to extend what we're given to work with. I'd been thinking of doing a dub for a while now.

This is just... perfect. The motion comic, the casting for Cronus, the art, the concept, the execution, the sound effects... it really ties itself together perfectly. This is really making me think about Cronus (Still more of a Kankri fan myself tho). Maybe he’s not *all* bad. Maybe he’s not the worst dancestor. The only thing that took a while for me to warm up to was the Porrim voice, but I still got used to it midway through. And it’s like wow, YoItsCro did such a great job. I wanna see more of their work. I know they do animations and participate in collabs, but this really makes me wanna see more.

I love the Amporas, but Cronus was always an exception. I still don’t like him, but this video gave me a little more respect for the guy. Thanks

Who would have thought that an Ampora would have the last word? I like that.

holy shit, this is such a cool concept for a comic that is such a new and different take than usual that I can't help but feel something for such a grimly, melancholic yet satisfied conclusion to the end of these 2 characters in canon (but you know it's not actually canon you know what I mean)
