I'm really enjoying seeing your process of choosing what items to use in your finish. That's the step that overwhelms me, and has led to several ziplock bags full of stitched items begging to be FFOed. Getting those done is one of my goals this year, so thank you for all the ideas! Happy stitching! 🪡

Thank you ao much your finishing videos. Thinking about finishing projects always intimidates me. You make it so easy to understand and give great references for materials to finish with. Do you have any recommendations on how to start accumulating pom poms, chenille, ribbon, etc to have on hand for finishing?

Could you use some floss, possible glittery floss, and hang the cookie cutters from the floss? Attach them to one side of the board with a tiny bow?

I've watched many videos on finishing. I've laced which I'm not fond of! I've used pins which is easier but time consuming as well! I really love how you did your finishing!! I NEED that making pen. I know you have mentioned it before but didn't catch the name. What is the name of the pen and where did you get it? Love your short tutorials!

That is a Sewline Air Erase marker! You can get it on amazon or many craft stores!
@michellegregerson49182 жыл бұрын
Looks a lot easier on the fingers to use the glue you use than hot glue. I would think it would be easier to adjust the stitched pieces when the glue doesn’t set so fast.

I was thinking the same!

You have said many time about your mat board and I have been to every place in my town to look for some, none is to be had for, where do you get it off line and the name of it and thickness also. Do you get acid free or regular one? Love your Stitch-mas finishes, you give me the courage to get some of mine done. Will by doing the Sugar Cookies CS for my kitchen next year, that will be my New Year start. My kitchen is in a Gingerbread theme and I try to add each years to it. I laugh with you in the gluing the sign you do some of the things I would, but hay it gets done is the way I look at it. Stay Safe till the next Stitch-mas

If you have a Hobby Lobby, go back to the art section and against the wall they have these big vertical files set up with Mat board and other types of artists type boards for sale. I use a board from the brand Canson, www.hobbylobby.com/Art-Supplies/Painting-Canvas-Art-Surfaces/Art-Paper-Boards/White-Illustration-Art-Board---16-x-20/p/101588

Super helpful!! Did you use the glue instead of your pinning method because pins can't get hidden on the sign? or do you prefer glue to pins? love the red trim - its perfect Thanks so much!!
@elizabethanncanstitch2 жыл бұрын
The pins only work if you use foam board! The mat board is too thing to push the pins into. The reason I don't like to use the foam board for these kind of non-framed finishes is because the foam board is thick and would be too high off of the board if that makes sense. The mat board is much flatter so I use that for non framed pieces and glue!

You don’t press your piece before mounting?
@elizabethanncanstitch2 жыл бұрын
Yes I do! I just didn't show it in the video, but I always press my finished pieces on a towel, on the back side, with a tiny bit of steam!
@patriciasimon96842 жыл бұрын
I think you need something red behind the stitched piece.
