Finished Digging The Basement

Finished digging the basement. Finally got all the basement dug out and slicked up then rough graded around the site. I also got the footings dug for the shop and the concrete guys got them poured. I am done with this part of the job and I'll be back when they finish pouring the walls for the house to backfill and rough around the walls. Brandon… shaving that clay with the grading bucket looked like wood planer shavings. The perfect material at the perfect moisture with the perfect touch! And, you were using a homeowner tool to do it… Extraordinary well done bud! We had an inch of rainfall last night that makes 1 1/2” since Tuesday. You got excellent results all the way around. The customer must be tickled pink!!!

That was incredible how that basement floor came out - well done! BTW something either happened to my comment on yesterday's video or I didn't hit the comment button. I was wondering what crop they were growing in those fields and also how much fuel you need to bring every day or whatever for your fleet? Thank you! I appreciate that! That clay was something else to work with. It was like pottery clay it shaped so nice. It’s wheat in the field and I have a 90 gallon fuel tank in the back of my truck that last about two days running all this stuff. That tank is a must for jobs like this way out of town. You could seal the clay in plastic bags and sell it to potters. 🤔 No, I imagine that is a good foundation for a house. That sure is different from the rocky soil you usually are digging in Missouri. You look to be getting used to the Case excavator.

Turned out great! You look good in that Case, that Power Tan color suits you. Have you considered putting a mast on the dozer and just sticking your CR700 receiver on there? I did on my 270T last fall, and I see @Dirt Boss has done the same. It ain't Leica machine control by any means, but for me it beat having my inner ear and eyes lying to me. Really easy to hit that 1/10th tolerance. I just made mine out of 2 1/2 x 2 1/2, rattle canned it yellow. Probably would have been kind of neat when you were slicking up the bottom.

Looks like your building a mini mall thats a big area 😮😮 why dont you weld a piece of scrap off the blad to ride in between the area thats clogging to keep it ckeaned out. Let it go up and down with the blade. Just a thought 👍👍👍👍 get her done B !!!!!!

Do they put a concrete room in the basement for a tornado shelter? For a shop, I like a 2 foot tall concrete rat wall which would have worked as a wind anchor too.

It’s 8’ deep. They want 10’ walls on the basement so the ceiling is taller. It will have a 1’ thick footing then 10’ walls
