I work in a suspension shop. Most of your drop came from the front hanger. And as far as the rivets go, you can just grind them down flush and they'll come right out

Watch the vid that’s what i did lol. They are rusted and old so you have to drill the center out to relieve the pressure then pop them out

@@CaseysCustoms Whoops, I must have missed that part. Over the years of dealing with rivets I've never had to drill them, they're a real pain. If grinding them flush didn't work alone, I would add heat making the rivet much softer. Love the content man, when you going to do an International Harvester. That would be a real challenge for a guy like you.👍🇺🇲

While you had the bed off you could have clear coats the paint between the cab and bed to help protect paint and metal longer

Blow the rivets out of the front spring hanger them flip it over and bolt the 2 holes that line up and drill 2 more. Free and just as low. Also you need to put 3 degree shims under the rear end when you do it this way.

I’d remove the tow springs. If you put any amount of weight in the bed, they’ll hit the underside of it.

As far as the bed, I would lean toward moving the whole bed up a couple of inches. Or get another old bed, cut out the bed floor, put in some spacers and add it on top of the other bed. 🤷🏻‍♂️

one advantage of having a crown vic front end the the rack and pinion steering , probably has better brakes installed too , might not NEED to lower it to match the lowered rear as for the bed , maibe get a new floor for it (wood?) and put it in the original bed but a few inches higher bedycision replaced the complete frame , pasicly build his body on the uindercarriage of a .... ehr , not sure if it was a crown vic

I've been a garage door guy for nearly 3 decades. When I saw your plate steel leaning next to the track, I had a mild panic attack. The most common thing that causes a cable to come off on a door is something leaning next to the track falling into the track. Other than that, great work as always

I love this build. Only thing i do not like is where you welded the bed,the touch up in green is to straight. I would paint a bit wider and sand it down so it blends better. Other than that,it is only thumbs up from norway 🇸🇯👍👍

I have my 04 Sierra on jack stands at the moment, so 5 or 6" higher than normal, and it's only slightly harder to get into than the base 2015 F150 truck I use at work. Truck manufacturers are getting out of hand with the ride hight
