I made 3 Sabai tops in different yarns the designer recommended, she also has another free version on the same pattern without the rib, I made both and they turned out great, will make more in the summer,

I just found you Jacque and am throughly enjoying catching up on all your episodes. I must say as an experienced and much older than you knitter, I am amazed at the knowledge you have amassed in only a year! Also, your ability to adeptly describe knitting patterns is impressive. Well done. Looking forward to seeing more of you. 😃

I feel like the natural drape and the fluidity of the sabai top in the line yarn looks beautiful on you. The detailed finishes in the pattern make it look effortless for summer. So lean into the wabi-sabi organic nature of the pattern-yarn combination, I think it looks lovely! Maybe it’s because it is your last summer knit and youre looking forward to the cozier vibe is why this one didn’t bring you as much joy as you hoped.

Have you tried helical knitting for alternating skeins to prevent pooling ? I used it for my Weekender sweater knit in Malabrigo Rios. It doesn’t leave a line at all. It worked well, except for the slip stitch “seam,” which made a bit of a mess and I could not figure out how to fix it. But on straight stockinette, it was so easy.

I absolutely love portuguese knitting! I heard about it in a KZbin video in the summer and had to try it. I practiced it for a solid day, after which I felt that my knitting/purling looked indistinguishable from my former way of knitting, and I've never looked back! Purling is SO much easier!

Once again, you are just soooo funny! Please show us the spin cycle in Norwegian again when it is appropriate! Also, LOVE how you knit a few rows on the California Sweater and then pick it up and lay your face on it! I must tell you, I picked up a quilt today that had been at the longarmer, it is 110 X 110. Jacque, that thing must weigh a TON and I didn’t even put in the sashing that it called for. Ha Ha, the joke is on me. Happy making my friend!
