This turned out really well man, these unique subjects are great to see too. Your custom touches are definitely JDM appropriate. Great work and congratulations again on your silver for this, one of many awards to come for it I am sure!

@scaleffect Thank you, sir! I really tried to throw something JDM tuner-appropriate at it.

Beautiful work. If you never pointed the issues you had i wouldn't never guessed.

@marsgarage8217 Thank you, sir! I feel like it's important to show/talk about the flaws in a build so that when others see the video(s), they know that their build can/will have flaws too...and that's okay. Most important thing is to keep building, that's how we improve 💪

Looks awesome Billy. I don't see any of your flaws. You do amazing work.
That is super cool! Like the backstory and build details 👍

Whatever you said, I didn't hear it cause I was just blinded by that paint job!! I know, being blinded has nothing to do with hearing, but that is a fantastic paint job. For me, no matter how many times I do the same thing with my paint work, there are always different end results. Anyway, that is a really cool little kit and you did a fantastic job on it.

Hey Billy, really enjoying your videos and taking in some of your techniques and suggestions. I've been out of the hobby for a long time and trying to pick it up again, a lot has changed. It seems when you are building model cars you have to finish/paint like you do a real car ( I've built and restored several cars over the years). When you say you're sanding with different grits 400, 600,... up to 10,000 and 12,000 grits are you using sand paper (wet dry ??), sanding sponges, scotch brites ( they look like scotch brites) ?? I appreciate any light you can shine on this and you've inspired me to pull out my Fujimi Gulf Racing Porsche 917K. Thanks !!

@palmbeachautosports Thank you for watching! I am using sanding sponges by Godhand and it is a wet sanding process. I am employing methods from the auto industry that I have seen several model builders use with stellar results.

That came out great Billy ! That orange is a great color too. Did you polish the windows? I don't think I've seen windows that were that clear 🙂It was a challenging build but you mastered it 👍🏁
@BillyStrangeAutoModels3 ай бұрын
@brucek3217 Thanks Bruce! I did polish the windows because they had some pretty good scratches in them. A few of them might have been from me. 😬 lol

Completely uninteresting information, but when I was a kid my favourite toy car was a little matchbox Mini in basically the same orange paint (if you do a quick image search you'll find photos of it easily) and it's probably the reason I still think orange is the best colour. Great job on the car. :)
