🌱finishing midterms and trying to become a morning person

around half way through the semester? kinda? idk but i'm counting down the days :')

i had intended to film a whole week of productivity but then i realized that a productive week is me sitting on the computer 24/7. i hope this vlog isn't too boring! i had to make it out of midterms first aha :')
today i went to add english captions to my video and noticed that youtube finally got rid of community contributions... this has been a huge part of my channel because i know many of you who watch my videos don't speak english and rely on the subtitles. idk what i am going to do ;-; it's heartbreaking that youtube would do this and it is unfair that some of you won't be able to enjoy my videos without subs. i can only speak english fluently and i wish there was some way to have others help translate my video like before.
but i do want to thank everyone who has ever helped to contribute translations to my videos. thank you for helping them become more accessible to people all around the world. i greatly appreciate all that you have done for me ;-;
i am sad but hopefully a solution will emerge :(

Hi there from Texas! I just wanted to thank you for posting your videos! I have a medical condition that makes it difficult to eat and digest food, and it's left me malnourished and with little to no energy to even get out of bed. My diet is pretty restricted, with far too many things that I'm not supposed to, or am physically unable to eat and digest. Very recently, I had to go to the hospital for a couple days due to complications from this, and I had lost a dangerous amount of weight. When I got back home, I decided to look up recipe videos to try and get back into eating again, and I found you and one other channel that stood out to me. I've been following your recipes ever since, and I've successfully started eating without trouble again! I'm even gaining weight (which is a good thing), am getting healthier every day, and now have the energy and drive to get up and do things like cook and clean and get out of the house again. I haven't felt this good in years! Your scheduling and organizational plans have inspired me as well, and with my newfound energy, I've been able to do so much more than I've been physically capable of in a really long time. It's been such a huge, positive difference in my life, and I can't thank you enough. So this is me saying thank you for sharing your day/week with total strangers. You make me smile in many different ways, and I hope you can smile just as much as well. 😊

hi annika! i just wanted to suggest that when you cut most items, try to cut with the lower half of the knife blade instead of the upper half! the lower half tends to be sharper and it is a lot easier to control, minimizing slipping and cuts! :))
