As a parent, totally agree with having a home work station. One exmple: There will be days where you need to stay home because the kids are sick, and you need to be there, but when they nap, you might as well build sets…

having the review station at home and the studio means flexibility, which will pay off in the long run.

Hi Bricksie. I absolutely LOVED this video! I think you have displayed everything beautifully, and I really like being able to see the minifigs in front of the sets. It's great being able to see everything in such detail. Well done! I agree totally with your reasons for having a workstation at home. It's so important for you to prioritise the family. Especially seeing that you have an extremely demanding job, which we don't always see. Thank you for sharing this really wonderful vlog with us.
@johnlambert13956 ай бұрын
I'm not a parent, but I still get the point of having a review station at home as well as at work, more time with the family and also if you're working on the city at the studio and have spare time to do a review at the studio then that's a possibility as well, if you're doing a big build it's best to do it at home so you can take breaks and spend time with the family 😊
@azure12596 ай бұрын
Other reasons why Bricksie is smart to have a home work station as well: 1: He's self employed, which means you often work every day, even if just a few hours. 2: It makes a huge amount of sense to have two sites at which he can operate his business as he has a working office at each location. One goes down or is inaccessible for any reason, he can still work. 3: He can allow his kids to get involved a lot more at home and not have to try to protect all of his displays at his warehouse.

You do it right; having the building/review station at home is just brilliant!! And wow, those display rooms look gorgeous!!!! You can see and enjoy every single set easily!!!

From one dad to another your little review/build space in your home is a great idea to have the flexibility to be with family on occasions and still get some work done. An idea for the island displays might be to add the globe and other travel related sets along with the Orient Express under the Titanic.? Keep up the great work! 👍

It makes perfect sense to have a space at home where you can work. I think your mind will feel less divided when you have some things you can do at home, especially since you’ve been working full time from home for so long. You can quickly get some things done rather than feel antsy about getting back to the studio.

What a beautiful collection of Lego you inspire me man! Also as a fellow parent and Lego collector you are absolutely right. If you’re going to be building sets end on end like you do the best thing is to do it around the fam where you can all share the time together and be at the studio when you’re not and you’ll have a great balance. Love waking up and watching your videos every morning man keep it up!

Both rooms are looking great and now placed so many minifigures. There is only one thing you maybe one to think about. That is the Brickheads, or how they are displayed now. Your display for them now starts with a wall up, then a floor, etc... But you should start with a floor first and then a wall. Because now you don't use the lowest floor to display the brickheads. We just see a black wall at the bottom. I hope you understand with what I mean to say. And you are doing good staying at home building and reviewing the new builds from your home so you can be with your family and your children will see how much you enjoy building this lego. Do make sure you put it in a safe place so the children don't break all your hard work you have done to build it. I am sure it will happen some time as they are kids and like to touch and play very colorful toys. So good idea and make sure you are a family man too! 😀

I love watching these videos, somehow I missed yesterdays. The two shelves in the side room look amazing!!! The three large ships in the Star Wars room might look even better if they were all facing the same direction and running on a slight angle, like not 90 degrees from the end of the island, I know the back ends of those ships are much larger so there may not be enough space but I think it would make for a great display if it fits. It makes total sense, it's all about work life balance, and with a growing family you will obviously need more room at home, not that you need to justify your choices!!! The studio space turned out so much better than my wildest expectations, I think everyone loves seeing it evolve so much so that when you post a video from home right now it's a little disappointing not seeing a studio update, but once the dust settles and the city construction is underway it really won't matter if you are reviewing from home or the studio. Really just comes down to all of us being addicted to the brick and living vicariously through you!!!😁

Do the battle of Yavin between smaller cabinets you have in the star wars room. That can be an Easter egg custom build. Make the wood covering the cabinets black on the underneath with little glowing stars. And make the scene of Luke flying between the trenches being chased. That would be cool.

I'm getting excited to see the beginnings of a new and much larger lego city. Wish you could first set up the tables (not the whole lego city, just a representation) as similarly as possible to what size the lego city was in the basement, and then walk about the general area, so we can all see how much more space you now have for expansion. Also, didn't you say you would be expanding on the zoo and the campground?
