I see these drills every week but on match days we can’t even do the basics! Like beating the first man from wide areas with cross or getting to the dead ball line , I wonder if we practice these basics?

Beating the first man and crossing are basics? Crosses into the box aren’t really a big part of football at this level. We also need to be able to move the ball in confined spaces quickly. That what most of these drills do. Don’t forgot we only see a snap shot of one training session from one day.
