Finishing Perspective V - Drawing the Figure in Perspective with the Solo Artist Curriculum

I was out with my family for a ski break for most of the last two weeks. I ended up with a sprained ankle and a broken stylus and those things slowed me down quite a bit, but I finished perspective v and am now ready to get to Color and Light!

Hey Ursa! Hope this comment finds you well. I'm truly impressed with your dedication to following a curriculum for such an extended period of time. Your videos and your consistency is truly marvelous. I see that you started this journey in Sept. 2022 and it is currently March 2024. There was only really one major break that you took because of moving and health issues. Of course life happens and that's okay! The fact you keep coming back to work towards your goal of completing this That being said I am inspired to work through this curriculum myself because of your videos now. Part of me wants to rush through it. But you can't rush through something that genuinely takes time. I'll even post weekly videos for my future self to look back on. One final thing. It's always a pleasure to see people posting videos for their own enjoyment rather than the massive amounts of monetization people do. There's nothing wrong with people monetizing, but it's always refreshing to know that people make videos for the enjoyment of it. Lightly edited, non-clickbait titles and non-clickbait thumbnails. Again, it's extremely refreshing. Good luck land continue on with the journey!

It makes me truly happy to know my journey has inspired you to work with the curriculum and that you are thinking of documenting your progress with videos. Videos add to the work, but making and sharing them help with accountability and building a sense of progress - I think you say it very well when you phrase it as making it for your future self. I also appreciate your comments on my videos being refreshingly modest. I sometimes wonder about how to improve them but it feels like we share the dislike for clickbait titles, thumbnails and all the silliness that is already so overabundant here. I wish you the very best in your journey and I thank you again for stopping and taking the time to give me your feedback!

@@ursamater Glad you got the message! I also forgot to mention this. But the thumbnail for your video has a mistake in the text as it says "first" instead of "final". Can't wait to get started. 2 years and 3 months is a pretty long time. Good luck with the rest of the curriculum!

@@walkastray007 thank you for pointing out the error. I will fix it. As for the time, yes, 2 years and 3 months is a long time. I personally will probably take almost 3 years to finish it and I am OK with it now, but I confess I did find it a bit frustrating that the curriculum did not promise a "quick and easy" path.
