Hahahahha being in Canada gets me around the Thanksgiving issue since ours is in October, but that doesn’t mean people still don’t give me flak for it 😂 It’s okay, they’re just Scrooges and we’re having a great time 💁🏻‍♀️

They're the Louvre pants from Doen! They're from a couple years ago, but they do still sell them. I think they've changed the design slightly, and they have different colours available at different times. I adore them but honestly they don't feel quite as high quality in the construction as I expected, so it may also be worth seeking out a more affordable dupe!

The way you’re doing the stockings is how I do all my socks. I can’t do them taat on a long cable but I do them taat concurrently. Cuff for both, leg for both and so on. Love doing it that way.

Loved this. Also, as someone who just started a channel (and is Deaf) I appreciate how much extra effort you go to - to make the whole thing accessible and correct for people. Though I'm not yet finished watching....I also knit the Sailor Swift top (well, I'm almost done) and had all the same issues you've mentioned. I used a cotton/wool blend that feels and looks lovely. I am a tight knitter. And the armholes are in my armpit. I'm hopeful, as you were, that once I get the icord edging done (why it's been sitting since probably June), and I block it, it will stretch to alleviate some of that I think I knit it a little longer, being mindful of the stripe repeats. I think when I make it again, I'll make it longer. As for your method of knitting two stockings at once, that is exactly how I knit my socks .Two at a time, but NOT on magic loop. Do one cuff. Do the other cuff. Do the leg. Do the other leg. And so on. It keeps me from getting 2nd sock syndrome and because socks are small, I don't get bored with the repetition. :)

I find that a "100g" skein might be 100, but it might be 95 or even 115. It very much depends on the specific brand and sometimes the dye lot. That can lead to a very different experience of yarn chicken than expected in either direction.

Man, I thought I was good at memorizing cables until I started looking at the Timberline by Jared Flood. Those have surprise purls that pop up, odd numbers, etc. There are charts, but they take a whole page and are tiny.

Ali I have made 2 of the sailor swift tops. I never did a gauge swatch and the first (also in knitting for olive silk) was just a little snug and short - so I gave it to my sister for her bday! 😂 it fit her perfectly! and the 2nd I sized up 2 sizes and changed yarn (some kind of cotton blend) and it fits great but I should’ve gone another couple inches on length! I wear it but I’m always a little self conscious about keeping it tugged down. My only complaint is that the edges all roll in with the I-cord edging. I really don’t like that!!! Please share if you figure out a solution to that issue!

I too decorate for Christmas mid-November. Makes sense to me! I too am Cdn. Not sure that has anything to do with it, but that is what most of my family does. Do you have any Christmas collections? Mine is Santa’s.

I don’t but I love the idea of a Santa collection! 😄 I could see ending up with a Christmas mug collection someday, though 😂
