Finishing up my two-year journey

Hey Koen, Thank you for taking us along on your journey. From drinking rakija at an unthinkable hour, hiking to Everest base camp, climbing volcanoes, cycling through scorching heat, and soaking in breathtaking scenery, to ultimately closing the loop-what an adventure it’s been! I’ve enjoyed following your journey through your fantastic videos-thank you for sharing them. It was a pleasure having you stay with us for a brief part of this journey. In a small way, it feels like we helped 😊 Mr. and Mrs. Sachse, you must be so proud of Koen. He was respectful, modest, and very down-to-earth. He left a lasting impression on our family. Hi Saul. Thank you for your very kind words regarding Koen. We are very proud of him indeed. I thougt it was impossible to circumnavigate the globe by bike and he just did it! Incredible! I am sure Koen liked it a lot staying at your place, he talks a lot about you and your family. New Zealand is nr 1 on on our bucket list for 2025. Hopefully we can meet next year, would be nice. and just like that the journey is over…the hardest part is coming home with all the superpowers that you’ve developed within yourself while traveling alone and then realizing that no one else did while they stayed home…it’s not their fault but it still is hard to adjust to…it’s difficult to hang onto your superpowers but that’s what memories are for. This was never about the destination but the journey….have a great life. Andrew

Goed gedaan. Je inspireert echt tot reizen, hoewel ik al over de 60 ben, wil ik ook een reis door Europa maken. Ik hoop dat het uitkomt. Twee jaar lang heb ik je reis gevolgd. Waarom? Het leven gaat te snel, weet dat je net begon en nu al weer terug. Wat een reis! Wat heb je ons geweldig vermaakt met je prachtige filmpjes qua beeld en geluid. De reis door Azië vond ik heel speciaal (woestijn/lucht/eenzaamheid etc). Ben echt benieuwd wat je nu gaat doen en of je het kan wennen. Hopelijk maak je voor ons nog een keer een dergelijke reis.
