Yeah, it took me awhile to realize I have to maintain the fuel in my aircraft. Now before every flight, I always check to see how much fuel my aircraft has before every flight. I use to "waste" a lot of time with free flights, but once I was able to afford a Cargo-Aircraft, the flights became a lot longer and with the "more" money coming in from cargo missions, I was able to afford filling the aircraft up with fuel before every flight. Great video!

I commented before watching the whole video. I use to do the whole 6+ hour flights, but found the "Sim Rate". I set my keys "" to speed up sim rate and slow down sim rate. Now 6 hour flights only take 15 minutes. Once I have all my auto-pilots functions set, I will 3x the simulation. But be careful, If ATC sends you a request, you have to QUICKLY lower the sim rate to respond to them. Also, remember how many times you speed up the sim rate. There are no indications of how fast/slow the sim rate is set. So if you speed up the sim rate by x4, if you do not remember how fast the sim rate is set and try to reduce it, you will either be moving too fast or slow and landings can be difficult. I use it for career mode. Play around with this if you're playing in career mode. It can free up a lot of time.

@jessebiedl Yes, I am a little strange, I guess :-D I like to do it "real time" my airplane is quite large, I have a coffee maker and a large fridge :-D So, I can walk around. But of course my audience might not have my patience - so I will try to speed up in a comming video. But Career mode sound like a great idea, we want to get our own airplane as soon as possible :-D Thanks for the comments and heads up :-)

You can assign a key binding to a command called 'Add Fuel'.. This will ad 25 % fuel to the selected tank(s). You can do that multiple times to fill it up when ever you want. And it doesn't cost you credits. A little tip, when you land, before ending the mission, fill it up. And then before the next mission go into 'manage aircraft' and select fuel and load tap, push manage fuel, and defuel it. then you will sell the fuel. When the mission starts you will have empty tanks, but just push add fuel to fill it up for free! And when using sim rate, start the timer in the EFB, then you can see how fast the clock goes to se how fast sim rate is going.

That has GOT to be a bug 😀 Yes I am trying to learn how to use the EFB, but I am even struggeling with rembering to turn the right lights off and on while taxi or flying. Good thing noone has released me to a real plane. I thought, back in 1980's that I would learn how to do the "passenger land a plane after pilot get a stroke" situation... I am a lot more humble now 😀 I did the flight the day after, not streaming, and I needed to top up before reaching New Zealand. So, the way I fly at least, it can not reach New Zealand.

@@finkelstonedI used to use this feature before knowing I can "manage my fuel" before flights. Thought one flight, I used this feature; Add Fuel To this Aircraft, even though I filled the tank to 100% the plane still ran out of gas (even with the instrument saying I had fuel) and my engine stalled and fell out of the sky, so I don't trust it any more and will manually add fuel to my aircraft before each flight.

I don't understand why your co-pilot didn't say anything before you left ?
