From a distance it looks like a shop bike. The best thing about a bike like that is you can really use it to go shopping locally without having to worry too much about it. I don't think I'd do that with a thousand dollar bike.

@aaronbehindbars
@aaronbehindbars 2 жыл бұрын
The left fork leg has two larger bolt holes for a disc brake caliper. Both fork legs have smaller mounting holes higher up than the caliper mounts which I think are for fenders.

@aaronbehindbars
@aaronbehindbars Жыл бұрын
@@erorr4o4 You can try installing the pedal on the back side of the crank arm. If you can thread it in all the way, that can help straighten out and fix the damaged threads. Coat the pedal with some grease or oil to help lubricate the threads. Then, see if you can get the pedal to go back in the correct way. Also, make sure you note that the pedals are left/right specific. The left pedal and crank arm has reverse threads and tightens cointer-clockwise.

Got one for my son to ride to school. What kickstand would you recommend?
@aaronbehindbars
@aaronbehindbars 2 жыл бұрын
Due to the design of tge frame, you won't be able to mount a kickstand in the normal location (clamped to the frame between the crank and tge front of the rear tire). You will need one that clamps to the rear portion of the frame just on front of the rear axle (thos part of the frame is also called the "chainstay." I bought this one from Amazon and it seems to fit well and feels sturdy. www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B09WXSKCZG?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

I just got mine today and put it to together. One issue I am facing is that the gears not shifting. By default does it come in the 7th gear or 1st?
@aaronbehindbars
@aaronbehindbars 2 жыл бұрын
It could be a couple of issues. The rear derailleur defaults to the 7th gear ppsition (which is the "high" gear - smallest cog). There are a number of derailleur adjustment videos on youtube. I'll try and find one that might help you because it will do a better job than me trying to explain it all here. kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5y9qYN_j5ahnbs

What's the difference between sizes, Just the seat post length? I am trying to get a medium,but it's out of stock
@aaronbehindbars
@aaronbehindbars 2 жыл бұрын
The frame sizes all differ in both height and length. The horizontal length of the frame will be longer on the large making it a longer reach to the handlebars. Unless you are close to the upper end of the height range on the medium and you have a particularly long torso, I might not recommend sizing up to the large frame.

@aaronbehindbars
@aaronbehindbars 2 жыл бұрын
You are right on the borderline for each size. If you want a taller handlebar position that is slightly more stretched out, go with the large. The medium with have a lower handlebar that is slightly closer. If you are a long torso/arms, maybe go for the large. Hope that helps.

what's your best guess at how fat you can go with the tires?
@aaronbehindbars
@aaronbehindbars 2 жыл бұрын
Might be able to get a 2.1 or 2.2 in there. Different brands size their tires different and it will depend on the style of tire (knobby, slick, etc). Aside from the frame and fork clearance, the rims are fairly narrow which don't work that well with wide tires.

You're within the recommended height range of the medium size, so I'd probably stick with that. If you have any walmart stores nearby, you might check to see if they still have any of these in store and you might be able to try out the fit before you buy.

In India its 19,000RS 232 US Dollar.
@aaronbehindbars
@aaronbehindbars 2 жыл бұрын
Usually, products in India are significantly less expensive. This bike normally sells for $399 US, but because it was put on clearance sale, it became much cheaper. A good example is the Honda Navi motorbike. It sells for 44,775RP ($550 US) in India, but it has a price of $1,800 here in the US. Some of that is due to labor costs being higher where the US market Navi is made (Mexico) which has higher labor costs compared to India. Some of the additional cost is because the US is a wealthy country and they can simply charge more for the same product. Interestingly enough, we are seeing a fair number of Indian manufacturered motorbikes being sold here. Royal Enfield is one such brand, but BMW and KTM are selling motorcycles that are made in India by TVS. I haven't seen many bicycles, if any at all, that are manufacturered in India. Your country is quickly becoming a manufacturing juggernaut, so I bet it is but a matter of time before we see that happening as the labor costs in China and other SE Asian countries increases.

@aaronbehindbars
@aaronbehindbars 2 жыл бұрын
Most bikes don't have kickstands. I heard that Walmart requires a bike to come equippedbwith one to be soldbin their stores, but this is either not trye or an exception was made for these. To use a kickstand, you will need to get one that mounts to the rear of the frame as there is no way to mount one to the usual spot behind the crank.

@@SavingPvtBryan32 I have a $7k bike for trails. I bought this because I wanted to see what $100 would get because it looked to be better built than the normal walmart bike and is available in sized frames so I got one that fits. I bought it expressly for riding to the corner 7-11 and leaving unlocked out front or keeping it on my hitch rack when I take a road trip so I have something to ride around when I get to where I'm headed. I decided to make a couple videos showing what you get and what my initial thoughts are from the perspective of a cycling enthusiast, but geared towards someone who is a casual rider. This is not intended for intermediate or advanced level cycling enthusiasts as I know full well those people are bot the intended market for this bike. Though not high performance or lightweight, this bike is well built and will last a long time with the same level of care you need to give any bike. It also performs well for its intended use. I do hope you subscribe to my channel so you can see the upcoming video on my riding impressions and details on what setup and adjustments this bike has needed. Thank you for watching!
