Hello sir. I watched Trains and Roses in a German Film Festival organised by Maxmuller Bhavan, Bangalore way back in 2004. Fell in love with the film. Simply heartwarming! I was immediately on a lookout for a DVD. After a long search found one in a flea market here in Bangalore. The DVD had hard-coded spanish subtitles! There were no English subtitles available online. So with much frustration and nowhere to go I typed each dialogue in Spanish and made my own English subtitles using Google translate. I also searched for every song that plays in the background and it's meaning. Put them too in the subtitles. I had also uploaded it to every possible subtitle website. My name is Chaithanya Bhaktha. And it is really nice to meet you. 🙏🏼

Thank you all! I wrote this film, and it warm my heart to know it reaches so many people's hearts. Since the beginning, the director has been trying to steal my title -until now, he has not accomplished more than taking the prize monies for himself. SO that you guys know.

The end of this clip with overview of the dining car doesn't reflect finnish mentality at all. Too many unfinished beers. ;)

Joachim Krol is a great actor. The first film I saw him was The Whole Story of Anne Frank acting as Herman Van Pels. There was also Maybe Maybe Not where he played Norbert. This was the third film I saw him in. He portrayed all characters well with their personalities. I loved this scene. I was volunteering at a charity shop as the till operator and I was fired was fired there for antisemitism to the manager, her boyfriend and daughter, verbally abusing customers and staff and telling lies about staff which resulted in them getting fired. I was not allowed in the shop. It affected me and then I naturally opened up and it helped me be confident about explaining what happened. The reason was because the manager’s boyfriend would tell lies about a regular customer to me and I was naive and didn’t understand about things going in one ear and out the other ear where I repeated them to the customer and he would get angry at me and not at the boyfriend. There were also a few other people that wound me up. The problem is I was vain and didn’t like it when people were treated on a higher level than me and I believed I should’ve been treated on a high level. So I was angry and prone to take advantage if those things happened. When I was open it became better as they understood me.
