Finland has more skin in the game, being closer to the war zone. Many of the European nations know too well the casualties of war. This can and will be a hard peace to negotiate. No country should try to dominate another through war. Ideals, morality, humility needs to take precedence. A piece of land is just that, no less, no more. The sooner we figure that out and whether we like someone or do not cannot play into any peace negotiation. Everyone needs to be held accountable, individuals as well as nations for any crimes committed against humanity. No exceptions. The world body needs to stand together as a whole in this fight. Which form of governing each nation chooses is of their own but, through not so much a world order but that of a world precedence of humility for all, so long as individuals are not repressed of their freedoms, we can only hope the deliverance of peace can be maintained by all.

Well, in this global world we aren’t so isolated where ever we live. The creation of United States was motivated in the Federalist Papers by the view that individual states would have been to weak to resist foreign powers. The situation is the same now. Not only for the US states, but for the all democratic states. We have to keep together or loose. The US states had in 1780’s great diversity amongst them and Virginia had to pay more, so the first and third presidents were from Virginia and the Capital was put near Virginia. Virginia had then more to say than others and so it is with United States today. We in Finland do our part in NATO like Delaware or Maine in the US, with that difference, what it becomes about the mind set about defence we are more like Texas. We even joined NATO later just like Texas joined the USA later.

The president of Finland obviously does not want Trump to be president. He won't say that publicly as he is intelligent and an experienced diplomat. Almost all of the NATO members cannot stand Trump and want him to lose. This is widely spoken about in Europe and it is common knowledge in the United States as well. A close friend of mine who is an American citizen, but who lives abroad in Europe in both Germany and Spain and whose father was a high ranking diplomat in the U.S. State Department for decades, often tells me what I already knew. U.S. allies in Europe consider Donald Trump to be a ridiculous buffoon. They are praying that he is not re-elected as they think he is an idiot who may pull out of NATO and let Putin/Russia seize all the land that he wants from Ukraine and turn it into a Russian puppet state.

They don't care what is in the best interest of the American people, only want what is in the best interest of the Finish people and their neighbors. 70% of NATO's military force is that of the US. While the EU countries have been spending their countries budgets on free health care and other benefits for their citizens the US has been spending our budgets on our Military and using that Military to protect the NATO countries, that hasn't been quite fair to the US citizens now has it. It's time Europe starts using their budgets on their Military themselves. and BTW the US is the last US super power because we can fight on any continent on a moments notice not because we are a member of NATO. As a matter of fact those resources would be better used in the south China seas where there are real treats to the US instead of Europe which the US have no counter treat to truly worry about.
