@@rickychardzz almost every major tournament in esports has lower bracket(league of legends). Not sure why AoE added the 1 free win for the upper bracket that's not fair at, it's a new BO series. I support canada BTW.

The alternative would be to have the potential for a bracket reset and a second set of Grand Finals if Canada loses the first one, since they're the only team to not have lost a set yet in the double elimination stage. I can understand the argument against that with AoE where sets have the potential to take a LONG time, so awarding the team coming from winners side a free game win in the set makes sense to me as a compromise.

I think team from winner bracket should get some advantage, but one free win is too much. It could be one more home map for the upper bracket teamm, or get some advantage in BP. A free win makes the final series much less competitive.

@@Nysyarc Have you ever seen starcraft? They have a group stage where you have double-elim, but the guy who gets out first simply fights one of the 'weaker' players who lost first before proceeding. The tourney then proceeds to single elim. Just make the grand finals single elim. Sure the team who 'didn't drop a set' feels bad, but I mean, if they didn't drop a set all tourney they should be able to win again if they want to be finals.
