I fucking LOVE this, especially the interpretation of the lich. His moves aren’t flashy or over-the-top, they’re _effective. Efficient._ The way he stands completely still, only moving to cast single, obliterating blasts of fire. It’s so machine-like and terrifying.

I really like how you portray Jake here, where you actually show how strong Jake actually is and how serious I think he can be. I always believed that the writers always hold him back or prevent him from doing anything due to some goofy reason (to keep it more child friendly and/or to make sure to keep the comedic/cartoony element more close to the show's core) be it because of some dumb circumstance or of his own fault.

Yeah Jake is strong, but he’s not stupid, just because he has his powers Dosent mean he’s always going to think about using them to fix every situation, I think he even talked about why he wouldent do something like that, his whole view on life is vary diffrent, and that was a pretty important think about his dynamic with Finn, since Finn usualy would do everything that Jack Dosent think about, or wouldent do Because of that Finn can get into trouble, but it also usualy makes him seem smarter and quicker to act in a situation Meanwhile because Jake Dosent act as quickly as fin, he tends to lose out, and we see him as genuinely stupider in most cases, but because he’s slower to make a choice, he seems wiser in comparison, and is able to help fish Finn out of tricky situations that he launches himself headlong into This is also why they need to rely on eachother, and also why Finn had the gauntlet. Cause if Jack had it, he might have hesitated, or somehow made the situation worse. It’s not easy being a talking dog with the power to stretch according to just “how you feel” there are multiple times where it seems like Jake has an identity crisis because of them Jake could benefit from being more like Finn, and Finn can benefits from being more like Jake Which I think is symbolized by the whole Jack suit thing they do, which takes the best of both of them (although even then Finn still goes to far, cause now he can take more risks that he knows he wouldn’t be-able to do normally) In this situation I wouldn’t want my brother (streachy powers or not) to touch a 12 foot tall skeleton that killed literally everything it came into contact with, including the only thing that was suppose to kill him. Jakes luky the worst he got was a fireball to the face (lord knows what it did to him to knock him out like that.) In the litches fight there both clearly out of eachothers depths, and despite Finn’s triumphant courage, even the litch laughs at him because the litch knows Finn can’t stop him The animations good, the execution just feels off, and I don’t really recognize theses characters as much as I did in the original If theses were there own characters sure, they’d just be another anime duo, but the feel a lot less like Finn and Jake, and the whole thing feels like Adventure time, but “exaggerated”

@@Sleepy_Museyeah, I think the catch-22 is Jake can lose focus if something isn't THAT serious or, ironically... but if he gets frustrated or angry enough he loses focus too. They do lampshade his abilities not working enough when you know they'd solve a problem enough i cant get mad at them tho.

That was pretty great! Seems like you had a lot of influence from One Punch Man and Trigger Studios stuff with all those extreme distorted closeups. If I may make a critique: When Jake does his bungee-gum move in the air @0:52 ish it was weird that he did all that flailing, but stopped moving before starting up his big punch. It would have looked more realistic and cooler if he had maintained his angular momentum, grown his hand while finishing the spin, and converted that energy into the big wallop. A short slow-mo as the sweater breaks through the skull would have been cool too. Oh and then you could have done the classic shot where the bits of skull rain down on the hero as he's falling, like the old slow-mo falling rain or flying doves trope. That said, your animation was still better than One Punch Man season 2 lmao! :P Best luck finding work at a good Studio! I'm guessing you make these videos as your Portfolio.

Season 2 opm animation better than 99% of anime out there. That being said, I'm not downplaying this video's animation whatsoever.
