And now comes the sad part. Today marks the 3rd anniversary of Cory Allan Michael Monteith. So in honor of today, I created this video, mostly because if I made one just for him I wouldn’t have finished it because of all the tears clouding my vision. I didn’t know Cory, but I felt like I did. People become attached to certain people in the world because they inspire them, and that’s how I felt about him. I believe that this is by far the best video I will ever create and by a long shot the most important video to me. When I was finishing up the last couple of minutes of this very I started sobbing (even though I did that throughout the process of it) because it kind of felt like I could see how much Glee meant to me and to who I am today. Glee was my first fandom and Finn and Rachel was my first OTP. The love between Finn and Rachel wasn’t perfect, but it showed me what real love was like. Cory and Lea were and still are my two role models in life and in love. Glee was the show that taught me everything I know. How to be brave, smart but still a little stupid sometimes, to dream, to be accepting of everyone no matter what race, gender, or sexual orientation they have, and most of all how to be me. Glee will always have a special place in my heart and will always mean something to me because it made me, me. And I cannot give the amount of gratitude or justice that it deserves in a video or an infinite amount of words.

Fun fact: the life Rachel said she'd had planned? Her going back, and hes a teacher and she says 'I'm home'? That was actually the original ending for Glee. They were actually meant to be endgame, but after Cory's sad passing, the writers had to work around it. Jesse was never actually supposed to be with her in the end, it was just that he was a character who could conveniently help wrap up her story.

it hurts because things could’ve been different. if someone went home with him that day or just called him to check up on him when he was at home, things could’ve potentially went in a completely different route. maybe he would’ve still been here today, and it hurts knowing that. yes, i didn’t know him personally, i’m just a fan of glee, but it breaks my heart knowing that it really is the little things in life that can save someone.

Wow, well said, Syeda! I would give just about anything for Cory to still be here, for him and Lea to be married with babies, living their best lives. It's horrible that this didn't happen. Cory gave so much more to the world than he took. Why him? I wish he'd been given better addiction treatment - treatment that emphasized evidence-based modalities rather than old-school approaches that work for some but not most. We know so much more know about effective treatment than we did in 2013, especially about the importance of harm reduction. Ugh, I want to scream! Whatever. He's gone, but he'll never be forgotten. This is the best tribute to them. What I love are the scenes when they started dating in real life because all the words, kisses, and looks were mostly real. In season 3, most of the Finchel kisses weren't scripted, which I think is adorable. They will be endgame. Watching these videos makes me hope that there is a Heaven because those two need to be reunited. This is the BEST edit I have ever seen so thank you so much for making it.

I really didn’t expect to tear up-but they *were* Glee. All of the controversy surrounding the show and Lea aside, it was clear from Day 1 that she loved Cory and he loved her and they were electric as Finn and Rachel. They defined a generation and their reel and real love story is preserved in this technicolor quirky outlandish show.

The fact that this makes me cry so much but I always come back to watch it. Finn and Rachel....Coey and Lea..forever ENDGAME. I admire cory's spirit. One thing remains and will never change that their story was one to know. as much as i still love glee and come back to rewatch it, i have never felt that aura I used to feel before season 5 episode 3.
