Hey Ace, they stealth nerfed the Merc Foregrip, instead of giving a 3.7% movement speed boost it now gives a 1% movement speed reduction instead, which makes the Ranger a better choice for long range guns now, this threw most popular setups out of the water...

guh Uhhh top tier? Hard disagree there. Running explosive bolts is a must which slows down the bolt velocity so much that it doesn’t make it very viable in a lot of situations. And even if you have great aim, the bolt doesn’t always go where you aim. Don’t get me wrong I enjoy using it from time to time and it’s definitely not terrible by any means, but it’s too inconsistent to be top tier.

IMO this is the best gun they’ve added to the game. Not necessarily because it’s OP or anything, but it’s super versatile and can actually be viable (but balanced) no matter how you prefer to use it.

True. I tried it on shipment, someone threw a smoke and I could hold fire into the smoke for as long as the smoke lasted... If all you need is to deny an enemy access to an area, it's a beast.

Hey ace, the point in tac laser actually makes me think that aiming stability in all guns also affects the recoil pattern of your gun. So technically, a better aiming stability on any gun actually helps with your recoil pattern because there should be a reduced random variance to the pattern. Please do look at this because there is still a debate going on in some forums and servers about Tac Laser and the Aiming stability affecting recoil.

I was skeptical about this, too. From very early on, Ace said idle sway (aiming stability) gets completely thrown out the window once you start firing your gun. Now, to be fair, this gun isn't exactly "ADSed," but I can say that I've felt much more comfortable (hitting more shots) running Ranger Foregrips (which decrease idle sway) on my SMGs rather than Merc Foregrips after the No Stock nerf (big increase to idle sway con).

A full aiming stability build makes the recoil patterns the most consistent according to the guy who did the testing. It's pretty interesting and according to a bit of research I did, it seems to check out as well.

I commonly run some sort of aim stability increasing attachment. Either the granulated grip tape on sniper rifles or tac laser especially on slower ADSing weapons. I feel like stability definitely isn't a major factor but can throw off some shots for weapons that aren't so forgiving with missed shots.

Stability does have good properties for your recoil. The more sway your gun has, the less consistent the recoil pattern will be. It's ABSOLUTELY confirmed that it helps with recoil. In some cases, most notably the SKS, it actually affects your recoil directly. If you use the wooden stock, tactical/commando/ranger foregrip, and tac laser, it makes a very noticeable improvement on your recoil magnitude.

Yea, I have tested it on most guns too, M4, Kilo, Bruen, FiNN, M91, PKM, Grau, I've used em all without or with Tac Laser and I find that its always i put Tac Laser with them that I can beam anyone more easily.

Just so you know, idle sway/aiming stability affects all shots, not just first shot accuracy. So increasing aiming stability will make the recoil much more consistent and stable, which is why the tactical foregrip was even created, and why the commando foregrip is so good.

Din Djarin mounted kills are dumb easy. You should be able to get all the mounted kills and long shots at the same time if you go in hardcore shoothouse and just mount on the wall that your getting the long shots from.

There is something you missed. With the chainsaw stock, the Adverse Longshot Barrel has lower hip fire accuracy than all of the other barrels. I can't see a difference in spread when you are ADSing, but the hip fire is noticeably larger.

I think they should've given the base FINN a headshot multiplier because it's performance in WZ is fairly lackluster without the adverse barrels. They should keep the adverse barrels the way they are however without the headshot multiplier.

Sorry,, you could have gone on for another 10 min.. i was "rapt with attention".. i love this new gun.. seems like one of the more thoroughly "well rounded without being broken anywhere" guns introduced in CoD.. maybe ever, from the very start.. it has just enough "Up-sides" to offset the "downsides", and give you options for more than one play style.. seeing this in MP a lot, dont have a WZ loadout yet, but, knowing about the "hidden buff" with Stopping power,, oh man... ive avoided those like the plague... so a great "find".. thanks again, as always ! !

I can’t believe ace missed this. Equipped with the non-chainsaw stocks, the ridiculous sprintout time + open bolt delay makes this gun unusable for me. Absolute garbage in HC especially. All sprintout times need to be reduced by 100-150ms and open bolt delays need to go.

As much as I've been seeing this gun in Shipment, the open bolt delay makes the FiNN unreliable for me. This is the reason you don't see LMGs used more commonly in MW, aside from 60 round mag ARs too.

i think the open bolt delay at 60fps is not there. i asked ace on twitter and he said he cant measure anything at 60fps. if you play on pc then yea maybe.

The open bolt delay is 4 frames (at 60fps) on all open bolt weapons in the game; whatever testing method Ace uses, it's flawed. Given ADS times are always much longer than 4 frames, it really doesn't matter in the slightest, just hit the fire button slightly sooner.

I don’t know Ace, the base ROF and the ChainSAW attachment work really well together. I personally tried to replicate this photo of the ChainSAW (see here: vignette.wikia.nocookie.net/guns/images/d/db/KAC_ChainSAW.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20110503172610) and have found great success with it. I run the XRK Pro Twist, Tactical Suppressor, 100 Round 5.56 NATO Belt, the ChainSAW grip, and the Tac Laser.
