Thomas, Of the songs I've heard you sing in your videos, this song "Break My Heart Again" presents thus far your strongest vocal performance partly because the arrangement of this song is in an appropriate key for your voice. The key places your voice in "vocal center" and when a singer sings a song in their "vocal center" that song is easier for them to sing. The singer has more command of the song, the extremes of the melodic range of the song are easier to sing and melodic improvisation becomes more natural and flowing. I've noticed that sometimes the way you're breathing is stifling your singing and is basically in your way of a freer way of expressing yourself musically. Have you ever noticed that you never or rarely hear the great singers breathe and often the musical phrases they sing are quite lengthy? Thomas, you know when I heard this new recording, I had to put it on loop so that I could listen and watch unimpeded. Seriously, I listened 25 or more times to YOU...not so much the lyrics or the song but just you. I am beyond impressed with the improvements you have made to yourself. It seems you have realized what we saw all along...that you are meant to touch the souls and every beating heart of everyone listening through that velvet voice of yours. I believed every word you sang...but so did you. I do not have a son. But if I did, I would want him to be like you.
