Excellent video lads. Dedication and commitment at its finest. One for the Q&A… how much of an impact will the increase in costs this year (fuel, fertiliser etc.) affect the long term viability and sustainability of growing potatoes and crops in general?

great job lads you dont have any sort of an applicator on the planter like some of the other guys around any reason or what way do you do it .

I remember back in the late 1960,s spending my Easter school holidays working with a local farmer planting.Ford 5000 rotavating, Massey 135 on the planter.He used to plant about 60 acres back then..

Great video again gents. I work a factory job during the week and mess around farming on evenings or mornings and weekends. Still breaks me heart for spring sowing silage and harvest times when I have to head indoors for work

Do you always put the stones on the ditch stroke in the edge of the field when destoning

Not always but majority of time yes we start headlands from inside and work out don’t like stone on inside as it can be picked up by harvester when digging

@@finnegansfarm9137 I have had to remove a few rows of stones around ditches over the years to allow water to drain off the field as the clods turn to soil after a year there sometimes a heavy disc set right sorts it out

Great Video Lads keep up the good work I’ve 2 questions my first question is in regards to young lads that have a big interest In farming and contracting that have a big passion for it and want to get into it, would you guys take young lads on that want to learn but have no experience or would you only take lads on that have experience or what’s your opinion on that also great videos keep up the great work!

3-4000 gallons depends on conditions

Will you go way . Them deutz are only good for filling a gap in the ditch . Do you think the 90-110 would pull the planter ?

@@brendanl3071 well first of all it’s actually a 11090 and no it wouldn’t because it’s too big of a planter and second of all you probably have never seen a deutz your just mouthing off because you don’t know what a good tractor is

@@crfarmlife1267 I was driving deutz while you were still in your auld boys ball sack. They only good for the small paddocks . When you get into the real ground you want more power 😉 will you plant few spuds the year ? I do like your channel aswell lad 🤠💣😀
