I have a great idea for what to do with old pistons that are too damaged to use. How about hosting a merchandising contest at every racetrack during Sick Week? On that day, anyone who purchases merchandise at the track can draw a number. At the end of the day, or at a time of your choosing, you can randomly pick a number from a hat. Whoever has the matching number will win an autographed piston. To claim the prize, contestants must stay at the track until the contest ends. If they leave early, they will forfeit their chance to win. This approach will save you from having to collect names and addresses and mailing out the prizes later. If a winner isn't chosen after several tries, say after 3 tries at a particular track on that day, the prize will be given away at another track. Just so you know, tickets with matching numbers are available at most office supply stores. I hope you like the idea! I look forward to seeing you in Gainesville, Florida, this year, and hopefully, I can win an autographed piston if you decide to hold the contest/giveaway.

Anyone notice the Goodrich work trolley uses conrods for the handle standoffs, did this on my work trolley using Zenoah from 32cc two stroke engines and very small nitro engine conrods for the drawer handles, thanks to a friend who machined and drilled them on the crank end to fit flat against the drawer face. then my workshop trailer was stolen and never found so hoped I would come across them out in the RC world of 5th gas vehicles.

I remember packing a stacker trailer and toter home for the race team. We had four dragsters, a golf cart, two kymco scooters, four powerglides, two spare motors, at least one drum of fuel, awnings, chairs, tables, fans, countless totes full of T-shirts and various other types of merch type stuff that we gave away. I could keep listing what else was in there, but you get the idea. The one rig was 87 feet from tip to tail. You would think that there was plenty of room but we had groceries, a fold out movie screen to play the video game system on so I fully understand the excitement about a trailer that has a spot for everything. BTW, you, Freiburger, Angelo and Dulcich have inspired me to get back into the hobby. Looking into a 74 Le Mans with a four speed to possibly ls swap and turbo as I cannot afford Butler Performance parts to build a tin Indian engine. So thank y'all and good luck! 11:40 - That vertical section between the hinges, will be ideal for a high-mount stop light, and a reversing/dashcam. 21:25 - Why in hecks name aren't you doing that with a long handled scalpel !!! With you now being allowed to play with Newbern and Cotten again, really glad Joe is a fixture and staple of the channel. His 'calm n chill' will nicely balance out Cotten's manic and Newbern's internal WTF stresses, while Mr Finn remains all 'Send It'. :) As a camera guy, I can really appreciate the effort Joe puts in to placing those GoPro's and holding the phone the right way, and doing the audio properly. Makes the episodes much easier to watch. Noting the camera angle lingering on the handle mounts for that hose making custom rolling rig..... Looks like Cory saw an opportunity for some really effective advertising for Goodridge, by spending a day showing support for the Car Enthusiast community. It's easy as a customer to choose companies that support the community. The moment you show Rye's work,.... By that man some single malt!!

I've handled a lot of those missile storage containers. First thing I started looking for was the pressure relief valve. They seal so well that any temp differential will cause the lids to suction shut and make it very hard to get the lid off. All of the containers have this very distinct pressure relief valve you push that evens out the pressure. Would have been neat if they put one on there. Probably not needed, but almost just as a calling card.

When you get ready to customize the totes for the pulleys & such, you can fixture the foam in your Bridgeport & make quick & quality fitting of the foam a whole lot easier. He said 'just use a hole saw'. If you're putting a cylinder shaped part in foam & it's wide, you can, but the size & shape of things you'll want to store away are always weird shapes & don't like non-custom foam holes. Might as well skip the foam. For odd shapes/contours impossible to create w/ an end mill, pick up some carbide routers bits; they work fine in a milling machine for foam, (top speed). Fixture the foam just like it's metal, it moves just like metal will; seems like you'd be able to just hold the foan. NOPE, don't even try. Cabinet quality plywood sides & some dbl-sided tape works fine for controlling a block of foam.
