I have one. I planned on using it for section hiking the AT. I consider the Savotta sleeping pad a higher quality sleeping pad than the typical foam sleeping pads that fold. I have hiked with it attached to the outside of my pack. Due to its length, while not overwhelming, it can get hung up on tree branches. Nothing bad, just something I noticed. I am also experimenting with a product called Smartshield. It is a waterproof foam insulated pad. Not advertised as a sleeping pad. But, it can be. This foam pad reflects heat. It does just that. Not sure of its comfort yet. Just another thought. Savotta also makes a high quality backpack. I tried it. Except, when the pack was heavy, at 30 pounds plus, I could not figure out how to get the weight off my shoulders and place it at my hips. Too bad. I wanted it to work. Thanks for the info.
