I am a Finn. I saw mr. Hydraulic Press Channel try out this game. I thought it looked hilarious and decided to look up more about it. Many people had tested out this game, but noone did it to it's full potential. Then I found your channel. You already had like 4 episodes, and I figured, since you had more than one episode, that you actually liked the game, and in 4 episodes you would have had to show more than the other ones I found with one episode á 15 minutes. I love this game cause it's a great comedy of life, with just enough realism to allow for hilarious situations, beautifully complimented by ethnic self-satire and parody. And on top of all that, your commentary comes to tie them all together. And I think kerbal space program would have a great run as a series as well, as it similarly creates hilarious situations through a touch of realism

The reason why i'm so thoroughly immersed in My Summer Car is due to your personality and how fun you make the gameplay. I got into the game through a KZbinr called Jeff Favignano, but he just started his series. He left his last video in the series on a huge cliffhanger and it was super entertaining. A Finn living abroad I miss the simple life of Finnish country side that this game so well depicts I got interested in the game. I think, for me at least, the reason this game got my attention is because it's so unique and different from everything else coming out these days. Beyond that, the reason I watch it here is because when I came across this game it was on another channel which had at the time only uploaded one or two videos for it and I wanted more, and here I am. I stayed because I like your commentary style. Its pretty laid back and not too over the top, but still a good amount of energy.

To answer your question: Why watch you play My Summer Car? You are fairly thorough with what you are doing, you go into enough detail without it being a full build or spoil. Also, it's an awesome, obscure game with great composition of atmosphere. It may be a game limited in features and scope but it manages to be immersive, entertaining, educational, rewarding and frustrating. It is an excellent example of Indy Dev Magic. Gamers know what they want from a game and this Dev manages to deliver the goods. You can almost feel the love he put into his project.

to answer your question - i like watching my summer car here because you upload more often than other people, and because you show all the ways to die - i hadn't seen a single death before this channel, only heard about them. i discovered this game from Many A True Nerd (great channel) where Jon tried to start the game with no knowledge of the game and start building the car with no knowledge of how to build a car. he actually later admitted to thinking that cars worked by burning fuel and sending the smoke through a turbine, until he thought about it upon learning about the piston firing method and realized he was thinking of steam power, naturally. anyway, he obviously failed catastrophically at building a car (he didn't figure out how any of the tools worked) but it was really entertaining and he loved the game for its total commitment to things like starvation and pitch black darkness at night and the time it would take to walk places, etc. i've been hooked on the game ever since. i even tried it myself. and i have no fucking clue how to build a car. haven't started that yet.

I got to the channel by this game, after another youtuber that I watched played it. Gray's commentary and gameplay was what caught my attention. His commentary is funny and witty enough while keeping a serious tone when necessary, like when talking about the car engine. He makes the boring parts, like driving around, funny and treats the serious part with the necessary attention. Plus, he is a fairly good player. He understands the game and plays it well. Gray comprehends the mechanics and how the game works. He isn't perfect but good enough to make this interesting and somewhat instructive.

I got here from youtube recommendations I think... First saw this game on twitch as so many were playing it - thought it looks kinda stupid, but was intriqued. After watching more, I got more and more interested. Bought it myself, got through building the car (with some tutorial cheating here and there). Watched youtube for both tips and hilarious things - and eventually I bumped into your videos which in my opinion had good content and commentary.
