Just a quick correction - the artillery strike comes in at the start of the turn after it's called in.

@@scholaprogenium7276 Did you? I just re-watched this and it doesn't look like it. there's a discussion on how far the 9" got to hitting units (circa 15.06) and the dice from turn one are still assigned to these units. At circa 16.00 there are still red dice assigned to units and someone states and there is all to play for in turn two... so forgive me but the dice are cleared at the end of the turn with any end of turn order resolutions carried out (triggering ambushes, staying down etc.) The next turn starts with the roll for bombardment and any units electing to go down can and order dice assigned,

Hi Baz, can I first genuinely thank you for taking the time out of your day to go back and double check, then typing such a detailed comment! This is our fault for causing confusion, we just kept the camera rolling after the turn summary without returning dice to the bag. Sam knows I rarely go down even when facing almost certain destruction and we’ve been friends and opponents for easily 10 years so we both knew I wasn’t hitting the deck during an artillery bombardment! However RAW you are 100% correct and I appreciate you clarifying for the newer players!

Also should’ve done D3 pins on the 17 pdr with the first mortar hit! Not trying to be negative, just wanting to help!

Sad that your not doing 40k anymore. Because I really enjoyed your view of the game. But you have me interested in bolt action 😊. Fun battle report to watch! It looks like it’s way more fun compared to 40k

He's probably waiting for 10th edition. I'm just hoping I can put Mephy + Assault Termies in my Stormraven have fun if old school transports aren't restricted.

Hi Joel, don't worry I haven't stopped 40K content, looking forward to 10th edition with the Angels! Haha hope I can tempt you to try bolt action, it is very fun, straight forward but with tactical depth! Good to hear from you buddy :)

Great report can i ask what you used to make your Finns as im planning to do an army of them and i dont know whether to just buy the warlord metal range or to do a mix of german and soviet sprues as some have suggested to me. Thanks :)
@scholaprogenium7276 Жыл бұрын
Hi Chris, I used German blitzkreig plastic kit as the M32 uniform is identical, the only difference being that it has a gasmask pouch detailed on the torso which the finns didn't use...I just tell myself it's a map pouch and don't worry about it, overall the models seem much nicer and cheaper than metal. The finns also used a mag fed lmg for many of their support weapons and I used the mg34...which they also had plenty of anyway! I didnt bother using a blend of soviet and german because it's not easy to make it work despite what reddit would lead you to believe! I used winter german support teams because of the snow suits. Also you may want to consider soviet winter veterans as they all have snow suits, I decided against due to the number of models sculpted with smgs but it they look the part for sure!

For bailing out of a destroyed vehicle, you take the two pins from the vehicle blowing up. You did everything else correctly!

Not at all Joe, we appreciate any rules clarifications down below for people learning the match! We actually did D6 pins instead of 3 on the flamethrower as well, but fortunately Sam rolled a result that meant it did not make a difference! Haha
