I was super into FTSK for their first 2 albums. They did a signing right outside the Hollister I worked at my senior year, and I didn't have anything for them to sign, so I just ran up to the front of the line and high fived a few of them on my way to work. Felt pretty good about it.
@TheFoggyHollows2 жыл бұрын
Drank too much wine tonight so here are my views: "Homesick" is also a brilliantly named album because the nostalgia we all feel now is built into the title. Could still probably sing 90% of the lyrics to any given song on that record. IMO FYS is A tier or... Dare I say... because they basically popularized easycore. That isn't to say that we should downplay ADTR by any means. FYS's most recent album is actually really good and has had some decent reception as well... but you do you, boo. I love your opinions either way. Mest....They kinda made a nu-pop-punk song haha. I'm ngl tho that Cadillac chorus is a guilty pleasure for me. "Wut in the the california white boy trailer park suburbia tarnation is that?!?" TSL was what All Time Low was going for. Idgaf. Guttermouth is somehow ABSOLUTELY simultaneously S and F tier. Like the horseshoe theory of talent, they clearly stand on the cusp with one foot in each questionable ranking metric. Mark is a once in a generation phenomenon that nobody knew they ever wanted and actually... yeah nobody really does... However, then after hearing Guttermouth, you realize you still didn't want him, but like a drug he trolololed himself back into your system because you know you simply just can't live without these extreme levels of satire and irony, yet you still wanna die when you hear his ass haha. How you doing these day's bro? Loving the twitch highlights.

You interviewed Gabe Saporta but didn't include Midtown on this list? A few more recs (and tier opinions): * Midtown - C-tier. They're an S-tier band for me but if I'm being objective, they're incredible songwriters, just never got influential enough to break into that next tier (but had the talent clearly because of Cobra Starship). * Millencolin - A-tier. Pennybridge Pioneers is a damn near perfect album and they were on Tony Hawk. That album went PLATINUM! They still rank on Billboard indie and heat charts even today. Shocking they have this much staying power. They weren't Yellowcard or Simple Plan big but they're definitely bigger than Less Than Jake. * Motion City Soundtrack - B-tier . Songwriting is some of the best in the genre. Incredibly heartfelt and catchy. Commit This To Memory and I Am the Movie are iconic albums and both charted (and one went Gold). * Rx Bandits - C-tier. Another ska-punk band (less ska though than LTJ or Goldfinger). One of the seminal Drive-Thru bands (along w/ Midtown and TSL). Incredible talent, extremely creative. They were just never as popular as their songs were worth. From Analog Boy (very pop punk) to Decrescendo (arguably the best closing track of a pop-punk band?) they had so much range but only their most recent album charted on Billboard and that was way past their prime of Progress and The Resignation.
