Big Basket has also been opening stores. I wonder they have enough penetration though. Offline convenient store market is already very competitive. I don't know if your city has these names or not, but here, in Kolkata, we already have Big Bazaar, Smart, More and Spencers captured a massive chunk of the market. Big Basket? They are just entering. Blinkit? I think they already have the online market. Offline will be tough for them.

Great video, but I have a valid point to make. So users are okay with having 2 apps and then taping 2 times separately but they are not with one super app and then tapping there to choose their preference? Sounds really absurd to me. Ultimately, number of taps are the same in Swiggy with an added advantage of not downloading separate apps. How can this be the sole reason for Swiggy losing its market share to Zomato? I will rather prefer to have one super app and navigating there rather than 2 separate apps.

imo super app in itself isn't a problem, it's a problem when it's overdone, like if it's a confused mess of things like the Paytm app. Also UI/UX plays a key role here, I always feel confused and overwhelmed while using the Paytm app

I personally feel it's insecure at times. For example, WhatsApp UPI just feels insecure. Privacy Matters! If you see, the grocessary buyers (mostly lady in the house) and coocked food delivery buyers (mostly men, most probable bachelors/singles) are mostly different in the same family.

I use Swiggy more than Zomato. It feels easy to use food and instamart on the same app. The logic is use of UI, which is very simple in Swiggy compared to Paytm or any other complex app. There is no need for standalone model, this is very wronf statement.

last time such discrepancy happened in the valuations between two big player was in 2021 precious metal & jewellery sector When kalyan jewellers listed at 35 pe, and titan was at 100 pe. So what do you think what happened, did titan fall down to 35 pe or kalyan went to 100 pe . Indeed kalyan pe went to 100, so after swiggy cheap listing of 85k cr i think it will come close to valuation of 1.5 lakh - 2 lakh cr similar to zomato.(since similar revenue around 12k cr, while zomato 14k cr) So you can buy swiggy without hesitation.

I don't know the exact reason. I had set GTT for one share at Rs 1580 on the day of Muhurat trading And the brokerage charge was only Rs 2. You can call their customer care number and they will help you out.

Share price is not the right metric to compare 2 companies as total number of shares for all the companies are different. Always look at the market cap. Here Zomato's market cap is 2.2 lakh crore and Swiggy's market cap is 0.9 lakh crores

Yes you are right, huge piled up losses about 6000 cr and the company and its promoters have audacity to make ipo at an inflated price of Rs 371-396 : its not even worth a penny , fact is that during mad bull run, market gets flooded with sub-standard and junk ipos, it is for the people to boycott / stay away from such swindling games played by unscrupulous companies and fraud promoters.

sahi kaha i am swiggy daily base customer since 10 years past 8 years their product rates and quality of service was good, but from past 2 years it is getting fraudlent horrible day by day. Higher platform fee, product price are double from local markets and quality is poor, return refund service is totally fraud, they dont send product and when concern is raised they just send apology email.

IMO, Go for Swiggy if you want short term gain or long time investment. I think it will go like Tata technologies. First it will be listed at higher price around 500, then it will continue to fall till January (Q3 FY 2024-25 result). Then Swiggy will adjust numbers to show they turned profitable to trap more investors. Then again continue to show loss in every quarter next year. If everything goes right, they will truly become profitable in 2026.
