There is a lot about van/car camping. I am currently car camping in my 2021 Ford Explorer ST and love it but sometimes figuring out where I’ll park for the night is a pain. ..and gotta watch for the other drivers…gotta know how to handle the drive…being you’ve spent time in Montana Finn should know how to navigate mountain roads which is handy on all roads. Be safe.

Finn, you should also prepare yourself that you may not like van life. You may feel very depressed and isolated, but of course you may also love it. You really won't know how van life will be for you until you try it. When I was a young man, I tried living in my truck with a camper shell, but after 6 months I couldn't take it anymore.. I wish you well for your future, and hope you'll keep doing KZbin.

@elliev3593 I've lived vicariously through KZbin's Vanlifers, and a lot has changed over the years, since car dwelling has become a necessity, for a lot of people. I'm seeing the comments forewarning about crime in the states. Just as easily as something can happen to a Vanlifer, it can also happen to those of us who are living in sticks and bricks. The Whitaker kids have experienced more than some of us who are older than their parents; should Finn worry, I'd say no. It wouldn't be a bad idea to start in another country, like, Canada, and then make his way home to the U.S. Just a thought.

There are times in one's life when a day comes that is much different from the others,, a day that marks a new direction. Graduating from a school, moving to a different state, getting married perhaps. I'm old so I've been through a bunch of those transitions, but they've almost always been *my* transitions, in *my* life. This time, having watched all of you for 4 years (I binged the first 2 other years during the early Covid lockdowns), it now feels just as much of a milestone for me here, seeing you all disperse in Miami, and I never got more involved than a half hour or so of video every week. Good and safe travels young Mr. Whitaker!

His parents filled me in and they have plans to said around the Caribbean after he heals before he heads to Uni. Finn; Keep doing what you're doing man. Having a positive attitude as you undergo a procedure like that makes a real difference in healing and that is exactly what you gave this young man. best channel out there. So real but also so just. AHHHH so soothing but exciting at the same time and I don't know. I just feel like you represent everything a modern day world craves. The things that are important are simple and somehow, that get's shown in the best possible way in your videos. I feel like whether it's intentional or not, you raise a message for people to think about. Some humans are so wrapped up in our busy world that they don't appreciate the little things. I mean, it's because there's no actual room for them to appreciate the little things. Everyone's to busy with their jobs so it's very difficult in the modern day world to stay humble and present, but I feel like when you come across moments like these, that you show, it reminds you to take a step back and revaluate your wants and needs. Life should be enjoyed. Sometimes things can be overcomplicated but it doesn't take many factors / sicarios to enjoy life. You just need good people and things around you.

Just my thoughts, hope whatever you do will be great for you, just stay safe and enjoy, there is just so much to see and do in this great big beautiful country of ours.

I echo some of the other comments. Van life means living alone (most likely), breaking away from constant support and companionship, and ... the love of your brother. You guys love each other cause you genuinely care for each other. When you are on your own, many will want you because of "fame and fortune." The world outside of the magic of Zatara is not as nice. Take care and I wish you every goodness. PS. Love how your music has progressed.

You said something about "maybe California." One of the most amazing cities of the US is there. It is called San Luis Obispo (a bit north of Santa Barbara). There is also a little town called Avila Beach. The block long main street is shops on one side and ocean on the other. About a mile shy of Avila is a fantastic nude beach called Pirates Cove. Thanks to Cal Poly and two junior colleges, the beach is filled with several hundred beautiful folk like you, your brother, sister and Luke. And again, I love your music. Being away from what "is in" has made you come up with what your heart, and "out there on the blue" says to you. Good better best. Michael

Finn .... a few days ago I sent you a message based around your comment of living in a van and maybe going to California. I wanted to share with you a magical area ... that being San Luis Obispo and Avila Beach. I tried to share some of the magic, including a nude beach called Pirates Cove. It was for your (maybe) pleasure ... cause I don't live there anymore. I am in "gold rush country" a few hours away. Look up Sutter Creek and Amador City. Those are home now. I am not some "weirdo." Just trying to share a magical area.
