First of all, this whole economic chaos was powered by optimism that the FED is done with hiking interest rates. Now that interest rate crash is the situation, where do we go from here? How would you advise I safely allocate $250k funds at this point?

The market is volatile at this time, But doesn't the Federal Reserve's monetary policy and low interest rates contribute to the current valuations? hence I will advice you get yourself a financial advisor that can provide you with entry and exit points on the share/ETF you focus on.

Fantastic Video Martin, thank you! I am considering studying an MSc in FinTech here in the UK. Do you see the FinTech industry as future proof? and in particular which areas of the industry?
@martinzeman893 жыл бұрын
Hi Niklas - future proof is a strong statement, but I definitely think it's where finance is heading. Typical commercial banking and investment banking are fast becoming utility type of businesses. Goldman's market cap is $100bn - compared that to PayPal's $330bn. If you like coding and engineering types of jobs, I think that's as future proof as any, especially because you have the skills to launch your own products or your own company. But pretty much any area in FinTech sets you up for a future in a high growth industry as we move to much more efficient and user friendly ways to invest and manage money. Good luck with your degree, keep me posted!!

The fintech industry as we know it today did not exist before the late 1990s and early 2000s. Nonetheless, fintech's origins can be traced back to the advent of computer systems and the growth of electronic banking in the financial services industry in the 1970s and 1980s.
