Hi FinTree! please answer my question but first of all let me thank you for all your videos. the question is in CFA curriculum 2022 page 408 it's written "For example, a USD/EUR exchange rate of 1.1700 means that 1 euro will buy 1.1700 US dollars (i.e., 1 euro costs 1.1700 US dollars)" Do you agree this interpretation? i'm not because normally should be 1dollar= 1.17euros means we need 1.17 euros to buy 1 dollar. What do you think?

I was trying to solve below problem. Sir below answer is correct?If wrong please tell steps. Find the cross rate for EUR/ARS, if the bid ask rate of EUR/USD is 1.2292/1.2300 and USD/ARS 3.9225/3.9230. My ans: USD 1.2292-1.2300 EUR ARS 3.9225 ---3.9230 USD (EUR/ARS)bid=1/1.2300 X 1/3.9230 =0.2072 (EUR/ARS)Ask =1/1.2292 X 1/3.9225=0.2074 EUR/ARS=0.2072/0.2074 I used The reciprocal of the bid becomes the ask, and the reciprocal of the ask becomes the bid.
