I wish she would write an autobiography.. it would be brilliantly written and she’s had a fascinating life. I would love to know how she has coped with depression etc

If I had to guess, I would think her music is probably her biggest weapon against her depression... I only guess that because of how much of her soul she bares on her albums. And she does it sooooo God damn passionately... But again, just my opinion/guess. lol

I´m currently going through a period in which I tend to feel quite blue, don´t really know why... Or maybe I do, it´s just that I don´t have the will to address the situation even. Seeing these recent videos, and watching Fiona so cheerful makes me really happy. Too many of my musical heroes are gone, and just to think of her, still hanging around there in the world, making music and so on gives me this... Replenishing feeling. Her music and her sole existence in this world are like some sort of balsam to my soul.

Right? I'm feeling a little blue myself these days. I have my own things going on, but it's even shittier when Cornell goes and you think back..Pfaff, Nowell, Cobain, Hoon, Weiland, Staley, Houston...WOW. Talk about the Lost Generation. Anyway, if anyone gives you shit, let them know, in no uncertain terms, that a random youtube commenter has your back. ;)

She’s so gorgeous for 40! No lines! I wonder if that’s her vegan diet
@ocandro5 жыл бұрын
Vegan diet is pretty bad for the skin - a ton of sugar, little nutrition (protein, some elements like iron) a ton of inflammatory foods like soy, processed shit, grains). I'd say it's more good genes, money for good skincare and procedures, maybe she avoided sun and used spf.
@alannahquinn4265 жыл бұрын
Ocandro: that’s a totally false statement about veganism - like with many things in life there’s a correct and not so correct way to do something. If you actually do any form of research you’ll find that it’s extremely easy to eat a plant based diet and be healthy. Ps: all the negative points you’ve just listed can also be made about the great and wonderful traditional western diet you’re obviously comparing veganism to. Dairy and meat have been linked to acne fyi. Fiona is beautiful because she lives a life of compassion and matches her diet to that.

I have lucid dreams too and when I try to use a phone no matter how much attention I pay I can't dial the right numbers.
@endless3cho6 жыл бұрын
Yeah, your brain cannot keep numbers or letter in order no matter how hard you try. Try to pay attention to even something as simple as KFC in your dream and it won't ever show up. Obviously it makes sense since you'd have no idea what something READ unless it was real. Otherwise your mind is trying to populate your brain with things that are familiar. You might recognize your high school, it's buildings and the mascot, but you'll only remember that it was your high school and not that you saw the words anywhere. Apologies for my commentary if you're not interested. I'm disabled/bedridden so I spend time in my dreams trying to control the varying aspects of the dreams. For instance, I have the various superpowers and telepathy, but I can't close doors properly or read anything. You can recognize letters in your dreams, but they never form real words. Also, the letters constantly rearrange themselves as you attempt to make sense of what you're seeing. Lastly, I was paralyzed from the chest down when I was 16 and it has a strange effect on your more lucid dreams. For one, I can never dream of myself at an older age than 16 physically. I jump between walking and being stuck in my wheelchair all the time. I can feel things with my feet and my body that I haven't experienced since I was 16 (almost 41), but things I never experienced, I can never feel. Anyway, I've blabbed long enough. Lucid dreams are amazing and sometimes you wish you would never wake up.

When my lucid dreams started in 2009, it was after the housing bubble collapse. I had to short sell my house on the lake, retirement home and the work home in Orlando, FL, could not find a job and Obama. I went Back to College for 4 years spending my $70,000 401K, in an effort to be able to resume management accreditations in construction career. This was my 4th major negative event that occurred that was beyond any of my control of my life. I believe that this caused me have dreams that tried to resolve all the other 3 like negative events that occurred without being resolved between my mind, heart and body. My Take on it, love your music:)
@striderstache99 Жыл бұрын
I hear music in my head, and have, non-stop since I was very little. 24/7. Snippets of different songs, harmonies on songs that don't exist, like riffing on songs in my head when I am trying to hear the song the way the artist intended. I would force myself to remember the song in my head in the correct pitch because the instant riffing was driving me mad. I've asked people around me, like hey, do you have music running through your head nonstop? They look at me like I am mad. Of course I am, I have a diagnosis, and, to some, that is part of that, "musical hallucinations" they've called it. However when I am medicated with certain anti-psychotics (even when I took a CBD gummy for the first time) the music stops and so do my thoughts. I have had music behind my thoughts my whole life so when the music in my head stops, I am lost. I have no ability to think like I used to. And so, while I take medication for my brain that I've been fighting every night since I was very little, I will not take meds that do that. My therapist once asked me, "do you want the music to stop?" I said, "nah". And I meant it. To hear that you have this kind of thing too makes me feel a bit less crazy lol. I discovered Fiona on college radio in 96 when I was in a group home outside of Philly. Sleep to Dream was the single. And I had had a boyfriend in 8th grade that broke up with me in the most brutal of ways, a tall awkward nerd like me with self-esteem issues, and him, a tall awkward guy with similar issues, the relationship resolved on a rejection of affection. It bothered me for years. And I am thinking about the boy during my senior year of high school and Sleep to Dream comes on. It was a watershed moment for me, and I have listened to her ever since.
