Lyrics: Hey drink up all you people And order anything you see Have fun you happy people The drink and the laugh's on me Try to think that love's not around Still it's uncomfortably near My old heart ain't gaining any ground Because my angel eyes ain't here Angel eyes that old Devil sent They glow unbearably bright Need I say that my love's misspent Misspent with angel eyes tonight So drink up all of you people Order anything you see And have fun you happy people The drink and the laugh's on me Pardon me but I got to run The fact's uncommonly clear I got to find who's now the number one And why my angel eyes ain't here Excuse me while I disappear Composed by Matt Dennis, with lyrics by Earl Brent en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angel_Eyes_(1946_song)

This is clearly from the same set where she sings that amazing version of I Know. I’d kill for the whole thing

I would really love to hear the full cover of Angel Eyes as that's one of my favorite Frank Sinatra songs. Fiona's voice is absolutely haunting. Also that instrumental version of 'Waltz #1' is seriously beautiful.

I can’t believe she covered Elliott smith, 2 of my most favorite musicians I love them both so much 💙

I don’t cry that often but if I do there’s a fair chance it’s because I’m overwhelmed by the beauty and humanity of their music. I can’t think of anyone else I can say that for apart from these two and I legitimately think that 1 minute of piano was the best thing I’ve experienced this year.

I'd to see Fiona in a small venue, as big ones make me a little nervous. Her performance of older songs are ALWAYS SO GOOD!

A scrap from an Elliott waltz played beautifully, thoughtfully … on the same piano he once mused. lit’s the attention that shrouds each note that makes a musical moment infuse the soul. Largo had a way of making one somnambulate. It became the why In being LA. My blood is still haunted by the magic of those encounters. Never knew a place like that could exist in our day and times. Who knows when I’ll ever get back out to place flowers at the feet of the muse. But that’s the sublimity of time , perhaps incanting these feelings in honor of a memory through the odd elliptical synapses of this communal thought medium is gift enough. Basically thank you. Always thank you.

Going through a divorce. After 16 sun cycles and then I find this under a super full moon. My wife is leaving this Saturday and we both had the amazing privilege and intimacy to see you play live at the Fox Theatre for one of my birthdays. Can’t remember which one. But the devil is in the details, not dates. Your music has forever showed me how love true, and how to give space. After 16 years, everything still feels the same. Good or bad. 🖤

Well, sir, you certainly are utilizing the power of the planets and projector well to be letting go of a relationship that no longer serves you or your partner. This Supermoon in Aquarius at 19 degrees was a whopper of change for many of us. It truly was a letting go ceremony -I can relate!🌝🌀😬🦋♒

Fk, I miss that place. Some of the best music and memories of my life were at Largo. There were times that I would get so frustrated with LA and want to move away. Then I would go to Largo and Fiona or Aimee would be playing or just show up to hang out or sit in. I would realize how blessed I was to live in this mess! I would talk myself out of leaving LA because I would never find another Largo! A local musician’s little secret haven. Then Magnolia came out and Hollywood invaded the sacred space. Made it hard to get in, more expensive, snobby. Ruined the vibe and then Flanney moved. Sucked. The new venue is nice but it’s not the same as dropping by for a beer and saying hi to Fiona while we’re trying to figure out wtf is wrong with the toilet in the ladies room. Because there was always something wrong with it! Drunk plumbing 🪠 at Largo! 😂 The music, the people, the vibe, and even the bad plumbing…I miss it all!

What a movie. What an artist. Overwhelming, transforming. Her “Angel Eyes” isn’t in the movie at that link though? What’s there of hers is the black-and-white “I Know” and, at the very end, Irving Berlin’s “All Alone.” At least the latter is with Benmont Tench. YT has a few clips of them doing that song in different places. Here’s what he had to say about that: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nqTaooSLis2Jj9U (less than 2 minutes, up to where he mentions Gothenburg, Sweden).
