I didn't expect this scene, and I definitely didn't expect it to hit SO hard. To be fair, both "loid" and nightfall were spy, so they much more priotitize on the mission than actual family life, loid isn't good either since most of the time yor is doing all the work. but fundamentaly loid is still a better parent cause of experience, if nightfall were the wife instead of yor, then both are in the same book when it comes with parenting

I doubt that, Loid is the best guy in the series so far and Fiona knows how good he is while Yor is getting to know him to be that good. I wouldn't mind if Fiona and Yuri would end up as a couple but I don't see that happening at all unless the creator force it somehow.

Man, We all know where the story is going with the Loid-Anya-Yor dynamic; specially Yor and Loid slowly building and discovering feelings for each other and both gradually acknowledging Anya as their child as much as Anya already considers them her parents, but Fiona's feelings for Loid are the most intense and outright authentic there; she is one who really understands him and THE one who since before the beginning of the story has been authentically in love and wishing to be his wife. Poor woman, I hope her feelings are acknowledged and after that she gets a happy ending, maybe a possible future Fiona/Yuri ship? Who knows?

I can see it happening for plot reasons. Nightfall might need to get regular info from the secret police. It would cause plenty of drama. However, I don't see her never figuring out Yuri is secret police to maintain it long-term or let herself forget about Twilight. Twilight has likely already informed WISE or will inform Nightfall directly if she doesn't figure out herself.

Ultimately, Nightfall and Twilight together is probably the end game unless by some miracle all sides figure each other out and don't end up killing each other through sheer luck and family dynamics. Loid could be forced to make that future of Anya and Yor being told of his death a reality at anytime if he gets pulled from the mission or gets too close to getting caught to salvage, prompting him to fake his death to keep the two together.

You know looking at their skill sets. It is pretty clear as to WHY Fiona is not the right partner for Loid in this mission. Spies: Their job is to be QUICK. Out of sight. Out of mind. Assassins: Literally are definition of Laying and waiting. They are to carry out their mission when they least expect it. And to leave no trace of an assassination of a target. I am not saying this out of spite for Fiona. For Loid taught her how to not show your emotions or empathy for that matter. Fiona may or may not have a sibling. But she did raised herself. That means she had to learn by herself. Yor has a sibling. She had to learn to be patient, caring, and yes her flaw being a lack less cook. That is what makes her seem normal. Loid IS yin the perfect cover. Plus, Fiona a just wants Loid. Being a wife means you are accepting what comes with your partner. Fiona isn’t even willing to understand Anya.

Hmm fair. but if there's an alternative timeline or some sort, I think both would be a decent enough parent Is just that fiona probably most of been alone in her life hence she has no one to talk about her feelings and doesn't really know what's her purpose, until twilight came to her. she gained purpose to move on. Anyways point is. If she has a opportunity to be a family with "loid" I think she be a good mother, with bond and Anya loving attitude let's just say that she's going to go into a family life more than being a spy like she found another purpose in her bland life, and maybe somewhat be more caring than your(but that's for another story) Anyways she just need someone to express her feelings and someone to be there with her, just like loid and franky

I forget if they answered this but….why *isnt* Fiona his wife? It seems like a much better idea. I get that they probably didn’t have any agents who were children or could pass for children, but why not have two agents who could be the parents? The way it is now he has to account for two X factors he can’t control instead of one. Not to mention that the fact that he found a random age-appropriate woman who was fine pretending to be his wife while *actually* helping to raise his “daughter” is kind of crazy and weird that nobody at the spy agency has questioned it. My first thought would be that she was a counter-agent.

She was on a mission at the time of his choosing, but Loid already knows she does not have the mentality nor the personality to be an effective mom. Nightfall also has a pretty negative reputation, where other spies think she will backstab her fellows to get ahead in her career.

There werent any suitable female spies available when the mission started, fiona wasn’t available either. Wise apparently lost a lot of agents, they said so in the beginning in the anime. Twilight isnt a novice spy, he sussed out yuri being a secret state agent within the first meeting with him, handler trusts twilight and is confident in his people skills.

I'm guessing the reason Fiona was busy and unavailable at the time is that the government was performing a crackdown of female spies by investigating, and possibly interrogating single women of Fiona and Yor's age. This is also Yor's reason for her and Loid being in a relationship, to throw the government off Yor and blowing her assassin cover. Funny thing is that Yor doesn't know her fear is unfounded because to Yuri.
