Why they are fighting: Enemy servants were assigned as thieves in this singularity, but Scheherazade as the thief's boss shut herself in the cave with a rock door. It's exactly the same situation that Amaterasu in Japanese mythology did, so Elizabeth, Zenobia, and the Master were drawn to one of them, Saito Hajime, to fight them as part of the turmoil to get her out.
