As a Liverpool fan, I grew up watching some great strikers - Rush & Saunders, Aldridge, Fowler then Owen & Torres and Sturridge & Suarez and now Salah and Darwin? (TBD) But I couldn’t wait for Saturday morning and possibly the best show on TV…..channel 4’s Golazo show and a chance to watch one of my all time favourites GABRIEL BATISTUTA aka Batigol…..!!! Fiorentina are my ‘2nd team’ and to this day, there hasn’t been a striker I’ve seen quite like him. He was absolutely iconic in looks and style and struck those golazo’s like he was trying to kill the ball. He was an absolute beast but, by all accounts, a gentleman as well - rare in the modern game to say the least. I suppose the closest we had to Batistuta in the UK was Alan Shearer, who although was excellent himself, couldn’t hold a candle to the one and only Batigol. Batistuta and Fiorentina…..a match made in heaven! It’s just a shame Fiorentina can’t quite make it out of their mid-table malaise, but here’s hoping they come back stronger one day soon (& keep any further talents out of Juve’s grubby little fingers!) 😂 ⚜️Forza Viola⚜️

Da interista questa Vittoria della Fiorentina mi sorprese tantissimo grande Viola che batte 2-0 i campioni d'Europa del Mancester united con gol di Battistuta bellissimo pazzesco il missile all'incrocio che mi fece emozionare , tiro di prima intenzione con lucidità approfittando del clamoroso errore del difensore 💪⚽️👏💜 poi grandissima partita giocata da Dio benissimo dalla Fiorentina che mi piaceva tantissimo e mi stupiva e divertiva vederla giocare con Rui Costa il più fortissimo attaccante che dava gioco sponde mentalità numeri assist e gol , poi Battustuta mio idolo che mi emozionava tantissimo vederlo giocare segnare gol fantastici da vederne rivedere ogni partita e ogni domenica quasi ai tempi di Firenze 💪⚽️👏💜 poi la Fiorentina aveva Balbo Filicano Chiesa Toldo portiere straordinario che mi emozionava già ai tempi di Firenze prima che venisse a Milano da noi a fare grandissime cose ma a Firenze sono stato gli anni migliori sportivamente parlando anche se da noi divento un idolo , poi Battistuta questa sera fece gol e assist a Balbo dopo una splendida palla recuperata e intelligentemente data a Balbo che la mise in porta BATI GOL che campione anche lui e Balbo bel gol 💪⚽️👏💜 questi tempi erano grande calcio in Italia ai tempi di sport vero senza soldi e corruzione , io sono interista sfegatato ma sono sportivo e la Fiorentina di Trapattoni è stata una delle squadre più forti che abbia mai visto
