Salam sister, am struggling with understanding all of this. If you can help , so I have my periods for 7 days usually the flaw is only for 3 days after that it’s not same flaw sometimes only spotting , and I saw some other videos sheikh said if we don’t see white discharge thread than we should insert tampon and if it comes out clean we are good to go. But even on seventh day if I insert to check if am all clean or not I see it comes out brown , so I clean myself , what should I do after that ? Should I wait for sometime and check again if it’s still clean , am I good to go ?

I THINK when flow is over and discharge is coming and going you pray if its clear after doing ghusl, if you get brown discharge you cant pray yet, if you pray because it became clear and suddenly you get discharge again youll have to do ghusl again as youre not yet pure. I think all this counts for 10 days after 10 days i think islamically its no longer a period a d you have to do ghusl a d pray a nd if uou bleed you just wash and do wudu i think

Depends on the colour of the spot, there are hadiths where women used to show the colour of these to Aaisha and it was determined that anything of a brownish colour is nothing to worry about... Also not to rush and make ghusl otherwise you end up doing it 2-3 times in a day like here

After getting iud. My menstruation cycle is a lot longer than 7 days now. But I read on Islamic Q and A about this specific issue to just go by when normally cycle would end ( for me it was 7 days) and go back to praying. I hope this is right advice I have been doing this last couple months. Because iud I have lots of spotting and more heavy periods and it’s not ending for maybe 10 days and than some spotting than finally nothing for a short time before my next period starts

If you are at day 10 then at magreb time. (The islamic night) you shower and ignore the rest. Cuz theire was a woman that was always bleeding and never stoped. Due to a disease. So prophet said... If its more then normal you start your menstruation and then wait ten days then make gusl and done. Ignore the rest cuz islamicly menstruation is only 3-10 days. Nothing more, nothing less.

Sheikh Asim al Hakim said different. He said we don’t need take ghusl again and again . Change clothes and do wudu is enough. Because taking shower in one day for 3 times is really hard. When u staying in cold country. It’s an act of ibadah but it’s becoming burden and ghusl is not just wash my body u have to properly wash ur hair as well 😢.

the correct thing to do and Allah knows best is to only make ghusl once you have seen certainly purity after menses either by way of purity by dryness which means the place where the blood comes out from is free from any type of blood or by the discharge of a white transparent discharge.

Yes but how long must it stay dry or clear? Sometimes it will seem dry or clear for a little but but within the same day it still returns to colored discharge. I don't think it is pure for me though

I don't think it's called qaza. Look it up. Zuhr and Asr can be combined. Maghrib and Isha can be combined. In cases of hardship this is allowed. Lemme copy paste from Google: It is permissible to combine Zuhr and 'Asr together at the time of either of them and to combine Maghrib and 'Isha' together at the time of either of them. These four are the prayers that can be put together: Zuhr and 'Asr, and Maghrib and 'Isha', at the time of either of them, either the first or the second.

It's so confusing. I'll have my period for 7 or 8 days followed by like 4 or 5 sometimes even 6 days of colored discharge and spotting it's so so stressful. I've made ghusl like twice now but it still continues. I know they say once it's dry or there's clear discharge then you're fine but how long does it have to be dry or clear? Sometimes it'll be dry or somewhat clear for like an hour and then will go back to colored discharge but does this count as it being finished? I'm not sure and it's so confusing may Allah make it easy for me and forgive me. I'm so afraid I go almost 2 weeks not praying and I fear it seems like I'm neglecting the salah astaghfirullah

I'll just say don't focus on brown discharge, just see the flow of blood , if it is a spot it means a blood has flown for an instant let's say , that means you need to take a ghusl , but if it's just brown discharge nothing to worry about , you are clean . Sheikh said it because most of the periods are followed by brown discharge , so it's kinda safe play, but doing ghusl again and again would be an act of worship :)

3 to 5 minutes for me : 1-wash your private parts 2- make wudu 3- Pour water on your entire body, so that it water attains every part of it (your scalp must be wet)

Do ghusl after 15days and 15nights(check fr the 1st time you spot the blood and count it). Then pray. But you have to take wudu for each fard prayer -1wudud for 1 fard prayer only after azan. Niat for wudu is to take wudu for fard prayer(or go check with your local mosque ustazah). Do wash istinjak every time and change panty liner to cleanse from blood.

I’m on the Pill although I shed my uterine lining but it is triggered by withdrawing the pill. As the medication disrupts the cycle it isn’t considered a natural period but called withdrawal bleeding. I didn’t know this fully so all these years I missed Salah thinking it was a period. Do I have to make up the Salah and is the bleeding not Haiydh?

I think this would still be considered a period since you are taking a placebo during this time and it let's your body emit menstrual blood I thought? I am no doctor nor scholar so I'm not sure but I assumed this would count as a period.

I am struggling to find information on this topic and I mean no disrespect but the limited information I have found are from males denying women are even peri menopausal. I am 42 years old and have many symptoms. My menses is extremely irregular for many months now with two periods a month. It is menses bleeding as (sorry I don't mean to be vulgar) it has a distinct smell. I stop my salah for this reason. Ordinarily my endometriosis pain is excruciating when on my menses and when it happens the second time my pain is no different. I and others are convinced that I am peri menopausal but where does that leave me with my salah? If you can advise I would be most grateful or in the alternative, if you could please upload a video on this topic that too would be most helpful. if this spotting is followed immediately by menstruation blood and accompanied by menstrual pain then it is considered menses. but if some discharge comes and then stops or there is discharge and then it stops and it is pure for a day or so and it goes like that for days then it is not considered menses. shaykh aziz farhan has spoken about it in arabic but i don’t know if there is a translated version of it.

My blood stops third day always on forth day it is always brownish but from fifth day my confusion starts bcz it's neither blood and no brownish distarch but that white thread like purity I got to see on 8,9 day . The “white thread” on the 8th or 9th day - In fiqh, purity is usually confirmed when a completely white or clear discharge is seen. Since you noticed this, your period may have ended then. What should you do? • If your period lasts no more than 10 days and you still see light yellow/cream discharge, some scholars say this is part of menstruation, while others say it’s purity. You can follow your normal cycle history to determine when you usually become pure. • If the bleeding/discharge extends beyond 10 days, anything after your usual cycle length should be considered istihadah, and you must do ghusl and resume prayer. To make things easier, you can track your cycle to see if there’s a pattern. If you’re still unsure, consulting a scholar based on your school of thought may provide more clarity. @@Rasik-Deen my regular flow ended on 3rd day while 4th day I got brownish distarge from 5th day no blood no brown distarge, as I told my confusion starts ..till 8,9th day untill I got white thread like thing on 8,9day in between no blood after 10 days no blood cycle repets after 22 days and this is regular all months same thing happens. Should I take bath on 5 day??

Bcz I'm struggling with this issue 😢 , my period only last 3 days but when i took ghusl n make myself paq after that i saw sometimes there's something yellowish / yellow discharge on my 5 days or 6th days and after complete 6 days it stops so i want to when shoul i consider myself paq saaf ? ⁠​⁠@@sadafnaz258 sorry for the late reply, in islam, a period is not considered a period if it only lasts for as little as 3 days. it has to be 6-7 days at least. so, after the first 3 days of your period, the 2 day time duration of no bleeding still counts as a period. you should only do ghusl after the 6th day when the yellow discharge stops coming.

How about when for the whole day of day 7 (from afternoon to fajr the next day), theres no discharge, so i take ghusl the next day and fast, then theres dischsrge again. Is it still considered menses? Even when more than 12 hours has passed without discharge?

@@haarisahali149 Assalamu Alaikum sister, after asking around, I got to learn from one Ustadha that within 15 days, if the menses comes back even though a lot of hours or a day has passed, then it is still considered menses. For example, today I thought I’m done with my menses bc lots of hours has passed without it, but the next day it came back, and it’s still day 9 or 10 from my first day of menses (which means it is within the 15-day period), then it is still menses. I also heard it’s just 10 days and not 15, and after the 10th day or after the 15th day, you can ignore any discharge. I also suggest asking other sisters around you regarding this, it helped me a lot. I hope this helps. And Allah knows best. ❤️

It’s better to take ghusl before the zuhr prayer , but in Islam the day begins when time of Maghreb comes, so on Thursday when Maghreb comes , it’s already considered a Friday , and the last hour of Friday is the last hour of asr. So you can take it in the evening or in the morning

In a video one sheikh says that maximum mense period is 15 days.if we did not see our pure discharge or just dryness before 15 days ,we must wait.i guess if it's duration is more than 15 days it is health issues. I do not know if it is true. ALLĀH KNOWS BEST

this explanation is actually complicated. islam is way easier than this. either you take ghusl from menses once the place where the menses blood comes out from gets dry which means if you would put a cotton pad or something similar to it into the place and it comes out clean with any trace of any type of blood then this is purity or you know purity by discharge of the white transparent clean discharge. if you see yellow or brown after seeing certain purity you don’t consider it menses or anything. if you get yellow or brown discharge before seeing purity, you’re still on your menses according to some opinions of the scholars. Allah knows it best.

it depends. if you saw purity from menses either by the discharge of the white clear discharge or the dryness which means if you put a cotton pad or something similar to it into the place where the blood comes out (your private parts) and this cotton comes out absolutely free from any type of blood and menstrual discharges, then you consider yourself pure and just wash your private parts and make wudu whenever this comes out if it’s just one or two drops of blood or yellow or brown discharge. but if you weren’t sure if you are pure or not and you have not seen purity yet and you made ghusl (ritual bath) and then something came out then this spotting is still considered part of your menses.

Salam since three months my menstruel changed i get my période 6 days. i get clean White i do ghoussoul and i pray but after two days i got a flow of blood stay 7 days.
