Great video! So once you have the impulse coefficients, do you just convolute it with your input signal of the same length filter length?

Once you have the impulse response coefficients, the filter output is obtained by convolving the input sequence with the filter impulse response. This results in an output sequence that is a few samples longer than the input sequence. The extra samples are known as "convolution tails".
