Fire and Rescue - cutting the roof off a car

peplers.blogspo... Demo by East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service at Uckfield Fire Station. How they go about cutting the roof off a crashed car after an accident, to get someone out who might have spinal injuries.

And if you move them in to your car or some else's car or hire car they will do the same even if it not crashed because a spineal injury is bad they will sometimes cut the roof off so keep the in the car and don't move them you don't what to parlize them

I had to look it up - apparently they're called 'hydraulic rescue cutters'. Obvious I suppose! :-)

thats actually not the jaws of life. they are regular hydrolic cutters. I'm a fire explorer and I've done this drill. theres a differance between the regular cutters and the jaws of life.

Actually, if you look up 'casualty' in a dictionary, it can refer to either dead or injured. Also, murderers have 'victims', and they aren't alive,,,,
