I think that the fire got bored with waiting for the gate to be opened and a drink of water, so it started to put itself out rather than wait.

Derelict property, no "known life risk" , no PANIC to start extinguishing the fire, the guys took their time to make a positive entry into a known hazardous area to fight the fire, all the none fire service fraternity need to keep their mouths shut !!!!!! you don't know what's happening (respect).

This isn't the first video I have seen where the fire brigade couldn't open gates. Surely with all the equipment they have for dealing with road accidents, they should have something that will do the job. If not, it's time they were equipped for it.

The fire engine must weigh around 12 tons, it has a flat rear and reverse gear, that gate should have been open a lot quicker.

The get payed by the owner whom can't get building planning permission, so they make it hard and slow, burn the place down, then the owner gets his plans passed for a new office block or hotel. The firefighters get a new petrol angle grinder so alls well.
