My pear tree, about 18 months old, was very healthy just 2 months ago. It now has fire blight and I"ve had to prune the tree heavily. Good news is I see some new growth. Hard to believe in just 2 months the damage done.

I have a pear tree, about 10 years old, this is the first time that gives me a larger amount of fruit, 30 pears to 3-4 pears on years past, y notice on one of the new growth (a tender one) the leaves looked dead, and when I pinch it, it was black on the center, and green on the out side. Do you think is fire blight?

I thought I had fire blight on my apple tree, but I now see new growth coming out of the supposedly infected branches. Could it just be frosty damage? I first noticed the damage shortly after a frost. Can new growth grow from an infected branch?

Can you spray while apples are on? How did your tree do?

Thanks so much for this informative video! I would like to know if it is OK to start the vinegar/water spray while there are still blossoms on the tree and before the fruit has formed? From what I have read elsewhere, seems the vinegar could kill the blossoms. Thanks!

I think it will kill the blossoms. I try and do an application before the blooms appear.

It will probably kill the blossoms, but if the infestation is bad you probably need to spray. You will lose the pears anyway.

So did the vinegar and water spray save the tree?

Seeing that it is midsummer can I still do this? Would this damage the tree or should I wait until the fall?
@meypole5 жыл бұрын
I shot this video in midsummer because I was losing the trees. Both recovered very well.

ProTrees 6 minutes ago The problem with your tree starts with the roots. ALSO PLEASE create a proper cut DON'T LEAVE a stub). Stubs are bad for several reasons! .Lets try to solve the problem vs. "treating" the symptoms. REPLY

I applied white vinegar after trimming the blighted areas on a young Asian pear. Later the same day the leaves that had been green and healthy were were blotched with black spots. Is this normal? Too strong a vinegar solution?
@jimbecka24376 жыл бұрын
Sorry it took a while to get back to you. The leaves were probably already infected and turned black (after the application). I had the same problem this year and did two applications two weeks apart. My pear tree has recovered this year.

No such thing as a "messianic Jew". You have NOTHING to do with Judaism. You are unethicallty commandeering Jewish symbols.
@jimbecka24376 жыл бұрын
Study Jesus (Yeshua) and you see that you cannot separate Jewish Symbols from Messianic Jews (and Christians). Jesus never said he was starting a new religion separate from Judaism.
