Fire Chat Friday Session #17: Fire Planning and Fuels Management

In coordination with the BLM Wildlife program, the Fire Planning and Fuels Management Division discussed topics related to fuels management and wildlife program voordination. Members from the National Fuels and Wildlife Staff presented information about the Migratory Bird Treaty Act as it relates to fuels treatment planning and implementation. They provided an update about Pinyon Jay and the importance of monitoring for them as well as Migratory Birds. Lastly, they provided an update on the OWF/FWS agreement regarding Endangered Species Act consultation and adding capacity for BIL Fuels and post-fire implementation.
