Today Trevor is in the gas fireplace section of the showroom. Trevor will be looking at the differences in burners between three fireplaces. The new Ortal fireplace is so cool because they are bringing new technology to the industry!
Trevor will be reviewing three different fireplaces and explaining the difference. The main difference he's looking at is where the burners are located. You can see on the first fireplace they have the traditional style and the second and third have more unique burner placement. Changing the place of the burner is to help the fire look more realistic, take up more of the fire box, and provide a more attractive flame. You can see the how much of the firebox the Ortal is taking top compared to the other fireplaces.
The Ortal is a new to Embers and recently installed in the showroom.. Trevor is always keeping a tap on the industry and new things that are coming out. The burner placement in Ortal's logs is so cool and really sets them apart from their competition. The cool thing about Ortal is how customizable their fireplaces are. You can choose between different logs, back area, and embers. You can add the burner types to their liner fireplaces as well.

We love the wilderness. We have installed quite a few of the Wilderness series. And we have not gotten one complaint yet. Also have installed several 44h double corner. Which looks phenomenal. In my professional opinion it is one of the best fireplaces on the market

I am impressed with the Faber Matrix, it really looks like the logs are on fire. The ortal doesn't look like a realistic burn pattern to me

The Ortal looks really good. I’m really unimpressed with the lower end systems. I have something mid to higher end and it’s much better. But…. I think that Ortal beats it pretty solidly. That’s a great look!

Ive seen a few videos of these logs burning with no ember glow on the slits of logset and they look horrible. Yours look fantastic. Is that an extra step you did during install. If so folks really need to get after their installers on that should they purchase. It really makes or breaks the design

They do. I believe you can buy the logs separately and put them in linear fireplaces too.

Hi Trevor, I would like you to do a video on the Faber MatriX Gas Fireplace alone. in this video most of your attention goes to the Ortal but I am more interested in the Faber, it just looks amazing. couple of things I would want to know, what are the customization options for the Faber? Does it have a light? Can I turn off a burner if it gets too hot but still have a smaller flame left? You compared the fire to a camp fire, Is the log set beefy enough? Does it not filll up the box as much then? What choices in log sets are there. Does it come with cool wall feature? BTU? Just as much detail as possible please, thank you!

All the Ortal models do, you determine ahead of ordering between double or single pane glass which will greatly change how quickly a space can be heated. Double pane throws much less heat off the glass, you won't even instantly burn your self if you touch it.

@@reneauds You get a Linear fireplace with the ortal logs then install a cool wall vent. That might work .

@@embersliving Unfortunately a linear won’t really work. I have a traditional right now. So the exterior wall is notched out for the traditional size. Unless the linear has a shallow depth.
