I will never understand why people do get so pressed about a mechanical object breaking beyond reasonable repair. You cannot save ‘em all. Even that AMC a few months ago would be nice, but even a Mad Max resto couldn’t save it. When the gas tank is on the ROOF, something is rotted that warranted that. “I would have bought that!” For how much?
