Thracia 776's arena music is "Late Initiative" from FE3 book 2 and FE12. Also known as the enemy attack theme.

Man, Sacred Stones borrowed a lot from Gaiden. The monsters (and most of their classes), the two main protagonists, AND the battle theme, which was remixed and put into the arena. Methinks one of the creators really likes Gaiden.

Sacred Stones was pretty much a direct throwback to Gaiden in general. That's also the closest Sacred Stones has to being connected to any past games. (If you count Selena, Odin and Laslow in Fates as a connection with Awakening, then Sacred Stones is still currently the only FE game that isn't directly linked to any of the others plot-wise)

BigKlingy The FE5 arena theme is actually a heavy remix of the enemy attack theme from book 2 in mystery of the emblem.

You can hear the similarite with the rhytm of the music but from everyhing else is a pretty diferent song, also at least FE3 had arenas (not sure about FE1) but i will asume they uae another different battle theme. so sad FE12 and FE14 don follow the tradition and uses new themes for the arena (and some boring ones in my opinion)

BigKlingy Oh yeah... But it's not really an arena in the traditional sense anyways. You don't bet money, but instead resources used exclusively for the castle. Also, yours units don't gain EXP there, and are limited to 3 battles per usage...which is locked to being after each outside battle (in Xenologues, Paralogues, or story chapters).

Leaf The God Besides, Gaiden was the first game to have two lords and one being a princess. We didn't had the whole two main characters until Sacred Stones So......#GaidenDidItFirst

I'd recommend playing Marth'a remakes, Fe11 and 12, instead of the originals, simply because they're easier to play if you're used to the more modern mechanics of the series. You'll need a translation patch for 12 though. I'd still highly recommend 12 anyway, it was really great, and just about everything awesome about Awakening started there. (Except the marriage system, which began in 4)

Where was the Arena in Awakening? Would have really helped out with forged weapon money for those of us who don't buy the DLC.

Fates has an Arena, but it's for materials rather than exp. I'm still hoping for a past game remix there.

BigKlingy The Arena can be kind of broken, especially when you put a shop that sells healing staves next to it. The Fates Idea with materials might not be bad, but that coupled with non-breaking weapons, your supply/convoy would get full really quickly.

+BigKlingy Fates sadly does not have a remixed battle theme...in the arena. I think Nintendo thought "Oh we remixed Marth's battle theme for the amiibo. That's good enough." Let's hope Roy's amiibo has a remixed battle theme from Binding Blade.

I agree with you, but I like Sacred Stones because it´s the only FE you can play in the same game when you defeat the final boss and you can grow all the characters to max level.

Awakening kinda has that too, and I find it more rewarding to max out everyone in that one, because of the skills system. Though I still found it pretty fun to max out everyone in that game.

7 is just called "Fire Emblem" over here. It's pretty good, but since it's often the first Fire Emblem most western fans have played, it tend to get the "nostalgia filter" treatment a LOT. Hence I'm kind of sick of it, personally. The reason many dislike Sacred Stones is because it's the shortest and easiest game in the series. That's pretty much all. It's not "bad" by any means, just short.
